Spurs won the final 3-1. Deserved champions. We can take heart from the fact we gave them 2 mighty scares across the season in a 5-3 and a 4-3 defeat. Ultimately though they did beat us 3 times.

I’ve said it before, but I’d put Monaco as the last race of the season and treat it like the Tour de France final stage.
Maybe award the points for qualifying and then have the race as a literal procession.
All the rich people still get their day out, it stays on the calendar, and in fact gets even more prestigious because it’s where the champion is crowned.
But we do away with the farce of it pretending to be a real race
And the Côte d'Azur in November/December would definitely liven up the conditions

I can't really read the baby/parent threads any more, but people who do will know I'm the father of a 2.5 year old with cerebral palsy. We run a charity that promotes families and parents taking time for themselves. It **** sucks being a parent of a child in hospital, and that's what I've been for about half of the past 2 and a half years. We fund parental essentials in hospitals (toiletries, etc) as well as family days out, parent date nights. We promote the idea that mums and dads need to spend time together and live a normal life. But I can't **** do it myself, it's impossible.
We try to have a night a week each where we have a night to ourselves to just live life. Sometimes it's a night at home doing jobs, catching up on work, sometimes it's a gig, or a football match, and tonight it was a whiskey night. Mum gets a similar night off per week. And we promote this, and we fund it for other parents, but when I explain it to people, I just feel absolutely **** ashamed that I can enjoy a night to myself when my kid is in hospital. But If I didn't do it, I'd be absolutely **** broken.
Sounds to me like you're doing your absolute best in a very difficult situation. You can't always be doing the things you know are ideal. It's not possible. But at least you are trying, you are putting in the effort, and more than that you are facilitating other parents being able to do it, which is absolutely amazing tbph. It sounds to me like you're being unduly hard on yourself. If you were commenting on this as someone else's situation I guarantee you would be much kinder to them. So extend yourself the same kindness. And the very best of luck with everything going forward.

If they go for McKenna it's just horrible all round. No-one wins, except McKenna can retire off the payout he'll get next Christmas. Ipswich go down breaking records as they go and Chelsea start over. They're just an awful club. From their racist fanbase to their imbecilic owner to their impact on the wider football community. **** Chelsea to high heaven.

Why is wearing hearing aids perceived as more of a stigma than wearing glasses?
I think it's normalisation. More people have bad eyes* so that's more normal to see.
* or at least have it diagnosed. You don't know what you're not hearing. You do know what you're not seeing.

Yeah that one will be quickly forgotten. Pity Lando over-steered twice before the DRS detection zone or he would have had enough laps to do it. Credit to Stroll and Yuki picking up the leftovers. Actually thought Yuki looked like he could do more this weekend.

That time of the year again when I update the front page stats with our new all-time goalscoring totals from what was a modern-era record breaking season of goalscoring.
Ollie Watkins' 27 goals in all competitions this season catapults him to 70 goals for Villa, and on the cusp of the top 30 all-time.
As has been said elsewhere, we have 10 brand new entrants this season.
Moussa Diaby gets 10 goals, Duran 8, we have Tielemans, Moreno, Zaniolo & Rogers on 3 goals, Torres on 2, and Kamara, Carlos & Dendoncker on 1 each.
Other notables are Leon Bailey's 14 goals in all competitions putting him on 20 for his Villa career.
John McGinn's best scoring season to date for us on 9 bringing his total to 26. Second to Watkins amongst active Villa players.
Douglas Luiz chips in with an impressive 10 goals from defensive midfield. Almost doubling his tally. He's now on 22.
And honourable mention to Matty Cash who chipped in with 5 goals from rightback to add to the 4 he got 2 seasons ago (he didn't score last season for some reason).

And obviously murdered the head to head league

13.5k my 2nd best ever. But probably my best ever considering the 9.7k was in 2008 when things were a whole lot easier.

My choices are one of the 3 Palace boys, Jackson or Gakpo. I'm not taking a hit this week so I'm severely limited by budget. Very much sell to buy +0.5m

Found myself watching the F2 sprint race this afternoon, brilliant brilliant overtake on the outside on the last lap at Tamburello.
Yeah Colapinto had been sizing him up for about 10 laps and then Aron gave him a sniff at the worst time.

Let's see now. Are Red Bull genuinely struggling or will they just turn up the engines. Hopefully a genuine fight for pole.

Blimey. Didn't realise he was doing so well over there!
I see he was nominated for goalkeeper of the season in the Ekstraklasa. Lost out to Mateusz Kochalski of Stal Mielec.
