  1. *Spoliers*

Having your brother in law call you 'a monster' & having to put a former business partner in a barrel of acid (due to a rush of blood to your head) may make one re-evaluate one's position.

Not to mention paying neo-Nazis to orchestrate the deaths of 10 men who helped make you very rich.

Plus realising that you had more cash than you could ever possibly spend, may help one get on the road to redemption.

But all that's changed now Hank is on the scent.

  2. Read somewhere that the writers wanted to turn an ordinary guy into Tony Montana.

Walt & Junior actually watched 'Scarface' in a recent episode. Maybe these points are red-herrings to get us to think that that's how it's going to end, because this show is seldom straight-forward.

Plus when you think that there is only 1 year between episodes S01E01 & S05E01. We have the bones of another year in Walt's life to get to the opening scene (bacon on eggs in the Diner, before he gets the massive gun) in episode S05E01. It is difficult to see how we are going to get there in the remaining 11 episodes.

Still it should be an interesting ride.

As for the most recent episode, I was just waiting for the kid on the bike to turn up, so it kind of took from my enjoyment.

Still the best thing on TV by a mile though.

  3. Second episode is a cracker. Some great scenes.

Insider podcast - with Vince Gillgan & some of the crew.

No actors on episode one podcast, but all main stars pop up occasionally.

Didn't listen to episode two podcast yet.

They can be a bit sycophantic, but generally it's all good.

  4. Anyone else think wtf is going to happen here when they walked into the stock exchange with the sub-machine guns?

After hearing the news from Denver, I thought if these guys open fire on a crowded stock exchange, our real-life media will have a field day with it.

Thankfully, they goons in the movie didn't go postal.
