  1. What I'm saying is, the statement I quoted suggests that just becuase he hasn't done anything yet that Thompson has been successfully rehabilitated. In that case the same could of been said of Venables a week ago.

Still can. We don't know what he's supposed to have done, and whatever it is, he hasn't been found guilty of it yet.

  2. I reckon they got it about right, maybe could have been a little longer, but as Lax says, there's an argument for why they didn't.

Nice to see there are only two 'nearest tree' merchants on here. Once again the VT proves itself to be mostly populated by well-rounded human beings.

37 people out of a possible 34169 have voted so far...lets not count our chickens just yet :D

If you're waiting for all 34169, that's a lot of roosters to reckon up :)

Fair point though, it is early days still I guess :thumb:

  3. If I were to make accusations like that, I'd firstly have the balls to name the VT'ers in question, and then provide a quote to back it up.

Unless of course you're still clinging to the notion that just because someone doesn't want to see a ten year old executed, they condone him taking a child's life. It can't be that though surely, as that has been exposed as a ridiculous argument several times already.

  4. Who has said they should have been hung at 10 years of age?

Erm, it's basically what's been driving the thread for 15+ pages.

hand on heart i would walk them to the gallows. Society has no place for these two individuals.

Of course if i had my way, (snip) they would be swinging from the gallows about half hour after being convicted.

  5. The one thing on this thread that has astonished me more than the apparent desire of some to hang 10 year olds and to see justice meted out by murder victim's families, is the inability of the same people to comprehend Snowy's point despite him, and others who share it, making it perfectly clearly, time and time again.
