The time for Qatar to 'invest' in an English football club has been and gone. They bought PSG 14 years ago with the intent of promoting the 2022 WC which they did and are now going the other way in terms of their investment with most of their high earners now gone and focusing on bringing through and signing younger players.

Incidentally, A. Azim has apparently relinquished his European title, so that will be interpreted has him ducking Smith, but, tbh, I think that fight makes more sense further down the line. Imagine them both winning World titles and then fighting in a unification, it certainly wets the appetite. 

I do think Shane is one of our best trainers, you certainly can't fault his work ethic.

Why get your fighter to fight for an EBU title, then drop it after your ordered to fight your first mandatory in Smith.

Boxxer have form for it, think they've pulled 4 or 5 fighters out of purse bids against Matchroom fighters in the past year or so.
