I respectfully disagree. I don't think the English contingent realises how big this is in Norway,and if OGS to Villa was big,then OGS withdrawing from the process is ten times bigger(when it wasn't for family reasons).So it's genuinely huge and not milking imo... I think it's a fair statement that if Ole was offered the job on Friday he would have taken it and Molde wouldn't have had the chance/time to mount a counter offensive. I'm very disappointed,I was really looking forward to a Norwegian manager in the PL. Most ex footballers and experts here in Norway considers Villa the perfect club for Ole...oh well,bring on next year!

I have a feeling there's something more than family reasons going on here... Apparently we'll know more soon,and I can't for the life of me figure out why he couldn't confirm what the Villa dude said. Makes little sense to me...

Says in the Norwegian paper he is Press Chief at Villa? Also strange that even after hearing that,Ole Gunnar refused to confirm anything...and he looked puzzled apparently.

That was a shock. He says he called and pulled his name from the list,so I gather no offer was made yet...

Hello,new here. I believe the situation is simple,as far as I know Villa haven't offered Ole Gunnar the job.What he's doing now is damage control,mending broken hearts and shattered dreams. It's the only thing he can do really. I'm 100% sure if Villa offers,Ole Gunnar will accept. His brutal honesty answering the infamous 3 questions is a side we haven't seen from him and I believe it shows how much he wants the job,this is not casual interest. Sure is tough on the old nerves. :shock:
