  1. Need to get off to a good start this season, past two seasons we've not had the best starts. Hopefully having Jack and Kodjia in the XI from the beginning of the season will help.

Called in the club shop today as I had a bit of time in between meetings and was nearby. Thought I’d just have a mooch, ended up buying the home shirt. It is lovely. The only slight qualm I have is the Luke logo looks a bit cheap and like it’ll come off...

Also, I had a look round for my little lad who’s 2 to see if I could get him something, and there was absolutely nothing clothing-wise in there. It was upto age 2, then ages 6-7.

Think there's been issues with stock for infant and kids I'm not entirely sure.

BBC linking us with Robert Huth again this morning.  Have to say, I'd be quite happy with him.

As long as we don't offer him a 3 year contract on high wages, which wouldn't shock me if we did offer it. But on a serious note, it's said that we've spoken with him but no formal offer has been made yet. Also said he's willing to take a wage cut so I'd be happy with it.

I’m trying not to think about last season or Villa generally at the moment, but I couldn’t help myself here.

Points gained from each team -

    Boro 4 (1 home, 3 away)

    Derby 1 (1 home)

    Preston 4 (1 home, 3 away)

    Millwall 1 (1 home)

    Brentford 1 (1 home)

    Sheff Utd 4 (1 home, 3 away)

    Bristol 4 (3 home, 1 away)

    Ipswich 6

    Leeds 4 (3 home, 1 away)

    Norwich 3 (3 home)

    Sheff Wed 3 (3 away)

    QPR 3 (3 away)

    Forest 6

    Hull City 2

    Small heath 4 (3 home, 1 away)

    Reading 3 (3 home)

    Bolton 3 (3 home)

So that’s 56 points from a possible 102, 31 from home fixtures home and 25 away.

Thank you! Surprised how little we've done the double over teams.

  5. Would love to see how we faired in each fixture home and away and compare it to the fixtures we have, minus the obvious promoted and relegated teams. I'm far too lazy to do it.

So I'm taking a deep breath and a break. My son is really getting into football so we are going to watch the world cup and enjoy it. Hopefully with England doing us proud (ha!)

My sons 7 so will be no doubt supporting the team that wins and the coolest players. I like that philosophy at the moment. Enjoyment.

I'll always be Villa. Thought it would be hell in the championship but I've enjoyed it.

Moreso than a couple of seasons ago when we lost 8-0 to Chelsea followed by 4-0 to Tottenham over Christmas and if I'm being honest the thought of that happening again should we have been promoted was on my mind.

Whatever crap is going on at the moment will still happen and be resolved so I'm not going to worry.

Of course I hope we come out of this stronger as we all deserve it. We are a giant!

Don't forget the 3-0 loss to Wigan after the Tottenham game!

Without going into it because I can't. I know some of the facts. It isn't pretty. For once the over reactions are warranted.

    You tease.

We are in the championship....with no money.

We have to get serious with who we can entice.

A man who has done the double double woll be on the same list as Wenger.

    I know, was wishful thinking.

  9. Grealish and Chester staying are absolutely crucial. Gives a chance for our youngsters to step up, Bree, Green, O'Hare etc. Definitely need CBs as Terry, Samba and Elphick all will go. Steer should be our number 1. But I shudder at thinking Richards and/or McCormack will play, their wages are too high for anyone to buy them off us.
