  1. You all seem to assume the trio will replicate what happened at Norwich. ..our side took 3 years to build with a few bad signings by Lambert slung in for for good measures.

We went 5 winless games on the trot last season, have you the patience to handle that?

Judging by your treatment melted out to your former manager at our place you clearly haven't.

  2. McNally did very well by himself. He ignored a clause in a contract which meant Norwich were no longer entitled to anything from the pursuing club. If he hadn't ignored it, we would have arrived at the same position as now except Norwich would have a few more sheckles in their pocket. So he clearly messed up. But McNally knows perception is key, so he played it cleverly to his fans and pretended to play hardball with Villa for the coaches.

Fans as a general rule never want to acknowledge that their club is the one that messed up, so the Norwich fans were too ready to believe their chairman when he started ranting about Big Bad Villa. We got our manager. We got him for free. If we had done something wrong, a clearly motivated McNally would have dragged us through the courts. He hasn't done that. The only compo they are entitled to now is whatever was left (if anything) for Culverhouse and Karsa. Given that it's now July, it's likely they'll get nothing for them. Any hero status McNally has in Norwich is down to the fans' reluctance or downright refusal to look at the facts of what happened rather than burying their heads and saying 'no no, Villa are bad, la la la'.

Brief McNally history lesson for you.

When he joined us as CEO in League 1, we were weeks away from administration and approx 32 million in debt.

Now, just 3 years and two promotions on, that debt is now in single figures, plus he got us Lambert.

He's also now a shareholder and director..........yes, he's earned his hero status to us.

    Patronising word removed.

    Nobody cares, just go away.

Your old gaffer has moved onto bigger and better things, get over it.

Despite what you lot think, we're a bigger club than you, and always will be, so **** off.

Second season syndrome ahoy for you boys.

As it is for Lambert! :D

  4. Was rumoured Culverhouse contract with Norwich was up end of this month.

Few tweets last few days and today that he's now a free agent & free to speak to Villa.

    Yay!

Nowt our end Julie, and believe me we would know.

Will you just get off your high horse for one post? You don't know anything more about this than we do, and most of us know next to **** all.

Just because Culverhouse has worked for Norwich does nor mean all Norwich fans are privy to his thoughts.

You only know what information the club are willing to leak to the media. Anything more is absorbed and exploited by the media into bullshit and bluster.

Speaking of high horses. How is us nicking Lambert due to a contract clause, despite Norwich believing otherwise, any different to Norwich signing Whittaker when Rangers/Newco still believe his contract with them was valid?

I'm not questioning the legality of any of it but you can't moan about Villa being opportunistic when signing Lambert and then swipe away Whittaker hours after he is supposedly no longer a Rangers player?

Wiz - What do you think of McNally mouthing off all the time? Bit odd that he's now said Lambert is going nowhere and Culverhouse and Karsa will do the same jobs as before at Norwich despite Hughton bringing his backroom team in. And now it looks like we're signing both this week. Just strikes me as very naive for a CEO. A bit like Faulkner used to be with us. (Fingers crossed PF doesn't drop a clanger in the coming months).

Firstly, the Rangers situation is entirely different to you getting Lambert from us, for a start, Whittakers contract was with Rangers, not this new hybrid, he was effectively out of contract as are 10 others there!

As to McNally, he's seen as a hero here, no one doubted you would get Cully and Karsa, they were mere pawns in the game.

    Its just football thats all.

Just like you knew Lambert was staying......whoops!

    Ouch!

Seriously, I've always said you'll get them both, I just want it sorted now, its disruptive imo.

  6. Cully and Karsa's jobs remain EXACTLY THE SAME as they were before Lambert left, no contracts have been changed whatsoever.

    Source: David McNally ncfc.

**** me mate you are the definition of naive

Why? did I say they would stay? no, I've said all along they'll go.

I was only givng you Villa fans the facts.

    Apologise? no, thought not!

Forgive me if I am wrong. But by all accounts the pair of them dealt with all the day to day dealings of the team, with Lambert in a sort of overseers role.

So if there jobs are exactly the same what exactly are Houghton and his 3 backroom staff going to do?

Search me, thats just the statement from us.

Personally, I think our lawers have advised us to sit tight and make sure their jobs remain unchanged until you come calling.....or they resign.

Maybe thats the best legal position for us, but I'm no lawer.

  8. Send Norwich down at their place on May 4th, anyone? :winkold:

Or visa versa, now thats what I call karma.

This is like waking up the next morning after your house party to find that unwanted guest still hanging around in your kitchen. You try to be polite for a while, but sooner or later you're going to have to tell them to **** off.

    Wow!

You can swear, 20 million years in the making and you can swear.....jeez!

  9. Norwich away first game would be interesting!

Wouldn't it just and an easy home win.

We should be capable of beating the dross and would give us a great start.

Even with you having a new manager that you are not really convinced by?

Yes, because its based on seeing us destroy you at our place, your keeper prevented a rout that day.

Lamberts good but he can't raise the dead.

you fogetting something though Wiz, by then Lambert will have the rebuilding well under way.

    Hmm? as will we....I hope.

But I think in depends on Cully and Karsa joining you as to the extent of your rebuilding.

And to be honest I think he has proven in the last three years that he is capable of that, your club was flat lining when he took over. But this is a fixtures thread not another lambert thread.

On the easy v hard fixture start I'd love a bunch of easier fixtures to start

    and build momentum

Is there any easy fixtures mate?

I know you are sharing some banter with villa fans on here about lambert , mcnasty and all things connected to our new manager but to be honest I wouldn't be posting that villa are dross, that is just not on and goes a little further than banter

    Fair point Richard, apologies.
