  1. Sherwood would release it to say, look how much they are paying him but they wouldn't back me in signing Aaron fcuking Lennon or Andros Townsend who both since the start of the year have 4 assists in 2015.

  2. How the hell are we going to afford those wages in the championship? Absolutely crazy and stupid

Every player signed since Fox has been here has signed a contract that includes reduction in wages should we drop.

  3. He needs to be played as a central striker, it's now the second or 3rd manager we have that loves playing strikers on the wing.

To be fair he played there against Notts County and he must have been offside half a dozen times and was really bullied out of the game by their centre halves.

I don't think he is a central striker at all, maybe in the good ole days of 4-4-2 with a big man...

Keep reading this, he stated himself he wasn't up to the pace of English football and looked a bit lost in that game. He played up front on his own in France and does so for Ghana at times. Didn't know we base our opinions on one game. His recent form shows he at least deserves another chance or are we willing to just stick it out with Gestede.

  4. Cmon, it's gonna be garde - no compo, ligue 1 experience to match our new players, arsenal connections, current employer saying he is in advanced talks, trent saying it will be him, bookies saying he is clear favourite. Just want it done fast so we can get cracking and to stop stooppid media stories about dwight and gus etc.

I just really don't see us sacking someone with only half a season PL experience, to replace him with someone with none. Theres just to many millions at stake. Randy will want the best bloke to get us 17th and secure his TV money.

Should we appoint Iain Dowie or Steve Kean they have PL experience.

  5. It'll be Garde and now they will be looking at bringing in his backroom team from Lyon which will be a tough ask.

    How so?

They are still at Lyon and their chairman is a bit of a tough negotiator.

  6. His movement and lack of awareness of what happens around him is a big problem. Think if Garde is appointed we will not be seeing Gestede up front as he'll want his forward to press and move.

  7. Jenas mentioning Reilly, it's obvious he's been told by Sherwood about him. He even mentioned the previous job he did at Villa, so what the guy has been given a promotion, it happens. He's basically trying to discredit Reilly and saying Tim is doing a decent job when it's clear he isn't.

  8. Today we've had McLeish, Neville, Carragher and Jenas backing Sherwood as well as Collymore.

Jenas even went as far as saying Villa will go down but it won't be Timmy's fault, how it won't be a managers fault is beyond me, it's like saying Pellegrini winning the title was down to the owners.

  9. All this new philosophy stuff is all well and good when we're in a position to implement it.

A third of the way through a season when we're 19th in the league is not the time.

The issue with the other stuff we don't have the players for it IMO, the best chance we have of getting out of this shit is playing a bit like Soton did with Pochettino.

  10. Remember people saying we have more pressing issues instead of a keeper, hope fans are now seeing the truth, he's a shocking keeper. For a keeper who struggles to even control a football at this level is bad.

  11. Krulak is not backing Sherwood, he's just stated that Lerner doesn't like constant change, instead he's actually heaped pressure on him by saying we have good players and should be doing better. Also he didn't deny the two games either, just stated it's pure speculation. This guy has two games to show some kind of fight and if not he's gone.

  12. He's a goner for me, he's obviously created this whole charade of blaming Reilly for buying the players, The Mail went as far as listing who had bought which player whether it was Reilly or Sherwood. Alan Brazil (Wilkins mate) this morning mentioning that Sherwood didn't buy the players, there is a huge rift at the club and sooner rather than later think Sherwood is gone, but thing the board are looking at possible replacements.

Of course he is - the annoying thing is the club have once more pissed about - and the one guy who could really help us has now joined sunderland - I despair......

I don't get the love in for Sam, for one we don't have the players for him IMO. Let's also not forget Fat Sam record post January at West Ham was shocking.

  14. I think many are underestimating Fox here, the thing with Lambert was he always had Lerner in his corner hence the dithering, this one will be if Fox wants him out he will be gone in a shot.

I am not so sure on this. If Sherwood was Fox’s choice then is he really going to go to Lerner and say the manager I chose a few months ago, the manager who succeeded in his only remit to keep us up last season and threw in the bonus of a cup final, the manager who we have allowed to oversee a huge turn over in players over the summer, well we are now 8 games into the new season and I think I may have dropped a bollock. I just don’t see it at this stage. It is going to cost I’d imagine upwards of 5 mill to pay off Sherwood and his staff. Now before the expected well relegation will cost us x amount of millions it is still a big call for Fox to admit a few months ago he was wrong and it is going to cost millions.

It is highly unlikely we will sack Sherwood anytime soon and certainly not before the Swansea game.

For Fox it is business, if he can see that there is no improvement coming and he's effectively already started the blame game, then it shows he's out of his dept and is trying to protect his own image. It'll cost us millions to sack him but it will cripple the club should we go down.
