  1. Good game, but should have closed Gallagher (who then scores absolute worldie with his weaker foot). Need to learn from that, otherwise great work.

High hopes for Tim, keep on working hard.

  2. You can't please everyone. There probably still exist a fan that would rather have the west ham bench warmer playing in our attack rather than Ollie.

For me he is the first name in the team along with Martinez and Luiz. Rather have him than any of the forwards at spurs, arsenal, chelsea or united.

    I was thinking this.

If this 50% of ANY fee is due to Barca it makes sense to loan him out at say £7m this year, £7m next year and a possible £7m third year gives us £21m and sharing nothing with Barca.

    Stop the bed wetting folks.

I think Coutinho's annual salary is close to £7M, so we would actually gain £0M in three years, instead of selling him with £20M even if paying 50% to Barca, we would still gain £10M.

  4. Don't care too much of the mistakes against Liverpool when building from the back, he clearly has quality to do it and was forced to carry the ball yesterday, as the whole team was slow in movement and lacking initiative.

But dear oh dear, I don't know how, but he needs to improve his acceleration on the turn. One of the slowest defenders in prem, reminds me of Björn Engels. Opponents will target him and our high line. Maybe Diego could provide him some gym sessions to bulk up some muscle.

  5. I think plenty of the blame from yesterday goes to Unai, of course injury to Carlos and the early goal changed the game, but defensively we were just super naive from the start:

    * Liverpool is great in counter, and has speed up front through Diaz, Jota, Nunez and Salah

    * We play a super high line when defending while we have one of the PL's slowest CBs in Pau Torres

    * We are not putting pressure for they players and especially TAA, but let him have 5+ seconds to plan and deliver balls behind our high line

Playing from the back, it was more issue in the execution, but going forward the opponents will target our game with high-press, and we need to be more prepared. The ball needs to move faster and there needs to be more initiative from everyone to want the ball and provide passing opportunities.

Hopefully we learn from Liverpool and Newcastle.

  6. Early days, great result. There will be ups and downs, but hopefully it is start of progress again. Players definitely are better individually than what the results were during Gerrard time.

No he did not. You won't find any news publication anywhere that says something like that when the match reports are out so dont take my word for it.

I'm all for positivity but that is nonsense.

He is there just between Haaland and Darwin.
