I do understand what your saying but your just guessing at what's going to happen this season. In that respect I think it's only fair to compare doug's last season to Lerner's last full season and If I'm honest I'd take last season as their was more potential to get better. It hasn't worked out like that so far but who's to say we won't be safe with 5 game's to go.

Basically I'll judge them properly when the season's over but for now I'd rather have Randy.

Dougs last season we were under performing due to a shit manager. We were also in a position where it wouldn't take much to make things better.

Right now we have a shit squad, a poor manager and it will take a lot to make sure we're a comfortable mid table team.

It wouldn't of took much to make thing's better, so it's just as well Doug buggered off because he wouldn't have done much. Also we're only 3 signing's from being a mid table team. CB, LB and CM.

Thank you. This has made me realise that whatever happen's to our club I can be happy in thinking at least were not them. I mean really? Go through all that because you despise the villa that much. We must really get under their skin.

In doug's last season we were on a downward spiral similar to what we are on now IMO. I think the huge scoreline's in some of the game's have made it look worse this season ( yes it's still really bad, I know ).

People have claimed we're better off.

I feel we are better off now than we would have been under doug, hell, we probably would have been relegated a few year's ago under him.

Not that I'm saying Randy's a fantastic owner either just better than doug.

Genuine question. Which would everyone prefer:

Randy pay's off Lambert's contract and pay's top Dollar to get another manager in 

OR

Randy give's that money to Lambert to spend in the window.

Nothing's gone wrong since the Liverpool game, just the same thing that's happened all season. We took our chance's, they didn't take theirs.

I was a supporter of Ireland up until this season because he had shown what he's capable of even if it was only for one season and I was hoping he could find that form again here. Whilst I don't think he is a bad player (probably one of our best CM at the moment, but that's not saying much) he certainly doesn't justify the wage's he is on and since that's the huge problem at the club it might be time to get rid in the summer, not now as were lightweight as it is though.

Just think we could get 2 decent CM for the money were paying Ireland.

Also I don't think he's a lazy player, he actually look's like one of the few who give's a shit most of the time. 

No matter if you go to every game or not no one is any more of a supporter than the other. I've had a season ticket for 11 years and in all honesty whatever happen's I'll probably get one next season but then if I had a family and more bill's to pay I'd have to rethink it. For me though football is a good distraction from all the other shit in life, for 90 minute's every week whether good or bad my mind is totally on the villa.

I'll admit though I have lost a lot of interest in other football. I rarely watch any game not involving villa and that include's international's ( barring a final ). 

I'll never boycott a villa match whilst I've still got the (spare) money to spend on it though, unless it was something really drastic. 

Just wondering, if miracles happened and Lambert got us in contention for european places in, say 3 years, would you still be boycotting the club then?

I knew nzogbia was a good player. Glad he's showed up after a year and a half. Now he can tell Ireland how to do it.

Playing well so far. Nzogbia looks like a new signing, bentekes found his shooting boots and vlaars back to calm the defence. Westwood also playing well IMO he's a key player for us, gives a bit of vision and composure in the middle of the park.
