It's his second ACL and I would gather his age and physique may also have a significant impact on whether of not he can return to the same level.
He'll 100% return but as to whether he'll play at the same level I think that's very much unknown at this point. It's probably the main factor in why we are already linked to a replacement CB. I think those thinking he's going to jump straight back in and be challenging or playing with Torres are slightly jumping the gun.
He's one I’d rather be wrong about supporting a return than doubt him and send him off.

I won't lie, I would be super pumped over all this if they hadn't dicked about with the badge the way they have.

Could they just specify the day after the our last game in season 23/24 rather than put specific dates in
Sure, that wouldn't explain the adidas ads but would allow a launch on Monday. I just know that every day has value as the "exclusive" anything and if you're getting out of it early, typically you'd want a date certain so you knew what sum certain of funds was involved.

New kits to be unveiled on Monday according to For The Love of Paul McGrath Podcast.
I am thinking this would be crazy, why wouldn't you do it June 1?
In getting out of the Castore deal, you have to set the end date at that time: you'd want a buy-out that would terminate after either the UECL final (because we were in that competition at the time of negotiating this deal) or even the FA Cup (which I think we were also in at the time). So if you could be wearing a manufacturer's kit at the future date, how could you end that deal early? It would undercut the term "exclusive." Unless we found a way to get SUPER out of this kit deal early, like we offered more money to get out even sooner.
Now that being said, I don't know how you run Adidas ads in your stadium while under a Castore deal, so clearly there are levels to this I don't comprehend. But it just seems odd. Also, if they're revealing a kit Monday, when would they actually sell it?

I could’ve chosen a worse game to attend as my first. Wow.

With good work at the physio table, this summer can quite easily be more "tweak areas of need" than "wholesale changes required."
People forget how good this full-powered Villa team can be....granted, they saw it for about 10 minutes in GW1, but we are bringing a lot back in house already.

Went to Pride Rewards today and they reckon the club shop won't be open till August. They confirmed it's coming back in house and likely the new shirt will be online only to start. Not ideal as i want to check sizes first
To be fair it’s Adidas, you can probably find one of their kits somewhere.

It'll be £100+ and some poor parents will be pressured into buying it because little Johnny has to have the latest kit/s every year
It's **** disgusting but whatever, if you're cool with it then obviously that's all that matters I guess.
Trust me amongst the crimes for which we will hang the rich is the marketing of “authentic” clothing to children…
Wait, wrong meeting!
sorry, UTV

They didn't get any Europa ones until March....surely not hard is it.
Oh I know, that’s why I mention it, was ridiculous. I ordered the UECL ones off eBay to put on a blank kit. I feel not selling that patch and the corresponding kit font cost us money (good job Fanatics!!!). I emailed Fanatics about it as they were the “contact” for orders and were about as useless as udders on a bull.
Don’t know who to email at the club but I feel like doing a daily one to say “How many UCL patches you order today? Okay do it again tomorrow.”
-
As someone else said, the UCL badge is going to sell me a shirt, I don’t care how it looks.
so the new Villa shop better be ordering a shit ton of them ready for day 1 of kit sales or they’re pissing money away.

Considering the first leg was one of the most boring games I've seen this year, hopefully with a final at stake we'll see a better game tonight.
Each of those first games were awful. Even applying real ale to the problem didn't make them better.

Two relatively conservative full backs, three combative central midfielders…
It’s not a lineup thing, it’s an attitude thing.
If you want it, go take it: don’t expect someone else to do it for you.

Yeah just a quick mockup… hoping they paint and use the detailed lion rather than the flat, plain yellow one…. and that absurd drop shadow.
I agree between the two, yes. They know they’re teasing everyone with that one though. All the other mini crests have the adidas logo painted in or at least mocked up and not painted over the blue. So this one is special

I’d rather spend money elsewhere in real positions of need, and/or buy down debt.
