Hearing Given is practically wrapped up.
-
The more cynical Everton fan would say its just a phantom bid made on the day their CEO publically attacked fans who comment on the running of the club that left them without funds to buy first teams players for 2 years.
-
From the guy who reported it @SkySportsPeteF
#EFC consider N'Zogbia bid but will struggle financially to match Villa's bid@MikeLewisLP Yes mate. But Villa will have money to spend from two sales don't think Everton have any chance to match Villas bid

Everton can't afford his wages, way out of their price plan.
So it appears you've learnered very little over the last season or so
We've sold our two of our best players, and got under 40mil in return - Ashley Young was on more than Zog's wage - quit being so pessimistic.

How do we take a long time? - Look at **** Everton.

Nope...Under the £10m figure quoted. Having said that......didn't Birmingham initially have 9m accepted last year before he failed to agree terms..? Now he has one year less on his contract. Whelan just playing hardball. Bid the £10m and get it done.
That isn't what was said - he said there or thereabouts the bid just needs to be upped by a million or so.
-
I'm glad Downings gone, he was playing for himself not the club, Eck got rid, N'Zogbia's an upgrade, Ash was professional all the way through and didn't lie, so he'll get warm receptions when he returns.
And I think Marc Albrighton has proved he is ready to make the step up, ask Patrice Evra.
-
Mat Kendrick has confirmed we have placed a £10million bid for N'Zogbia - I think a few apologies will be owed if this goes through fairly soon.
-
Matter time I think now, 'Who let the Zog out?' obvious chants?
-
I think Shay just wants to play, we have a vacancy for Number 1 - Arsenal don't.

Great post General, I tend to agree with Paul Scholes it does irk a lot of people who use our club as a stepping stone and treat us with disrespect (Gareth Barry and whatever happens with Downing) - but at the same time let'em go the grass is not always greener as James Milner (professional to the core) is currently experiencing - I'd rather have a 9th placed finish knowing the players played for the shirt and club than a 6th place finish with ones that didn't.
Regarding the media - I think the people and fans associated with Aston Villa should have learned an absolute stern lesson this past week with the horrendous actions of the British Media. (Thoughts?)
And I've seen why you've gone for McLeish - he comes off as a leader and a motivator - who will hopefully have us back up in that gritty steely very hard to beat category under O'Neill, so respect to you for not buying into names.
Finally my question - has Randy thought about delving into the loan market more often when it comes to players? Because that could be beneficiary in going forward - i.e the European Clubs and not just in this country?

When I see posts like that from clearings in the woods living off the dole, it almost makes me want to go back to the old days of the terraces y'know when you could stand to watch a game.
£20mil and we'll sell you clearings in the woods - you paid that for 'potential' in Henderson.
-
Can we add the News of the World, I don't want to pay attention to a paper that hacks a dead girl's phone, as its been revealed they hacked Milly Dowler's phone for 9 years since she disappeared.

Looks like a man 'assisting' the police doesn't he?
Birmingham City Football Club owner Carson Yeung is appearing in Hong Kong's Eastern Court. He was arrested at his home on the Peak on Wednesday and charged with five counts of money laundering.
The English Championship football club confirmed in a statement last night that Mr Yeung was being questioned by Hong Kong police in relation to criminal investigations. City's acting chairman, Peter Pannu, stressed the inquiries had nothing to do with Birmingham International Holdings - Mr Yeung's Hong Kong-listed vehicle which owns Birmingham City.
The colourful tycoon and former hairstylist took control of the English Midlands club in 2009 after paying over HK$730 million to acquire 94% of its shares.
Birmingham City won the English League Cup in February, ending their 48-year wait for a trophy, but were relegated from the Premier League last month.
As I type..the clubs shares (Birmingham International Holdings Ltd) have been entirely suspended.

He can force it all he wants, he has a number of years left on his contract, 20mil no less.
-
"We are not a selling club. A selling club is when you let it be known that you want to sell a player, through an agent or whatever. That didn't happen with Gareth Barry and it didn't happen with James Milner either. As for Ashley Young, he was never going."
Randy Lerner's only interview with the Telegraph last year
General judging by todays snippets in the press where we may not get all of Ashley Youngs fee, McLeish better be backed quite heavily this summer or the already angry fans amongst the Villa fanbase will demand the club be sold, not like the NFL over here, I can tell you that.
-
Yeah but come on they are not the only ones to report it, its Downing and his bellend agent (Who is also Stevie G's agent) dropping little seeds in the media.
-
Last time we swapped it didn't work out - we should rob their bank account with this one.
-
Apparently he's going to hand in a transfer request according to the Mirror..
Just sell the clearing in the woods, grass isn't always greener, he's one footed even an amputee can do better - plus we could get a better one to work with Albrighton.
-
I'm sure this is true but the very fact that Downing was in a bar with Andy Carroll has shaken my faith in him.It is fake. They are posing for a photo with the bar girl behind the bar. Probably so she can stick the photo on the wall of famous people that have been in her place.
Someone has used the photo to stick a scarf across them and is laughing their ass off at the reaction of Villa fans.
They've known each other since they were kids, like Joe Hart and Wayne Rooney hanging around together.
That scarf looks photoshopped though.
-
Ahh General okay if you take up McLeish's idea of an open fans forum like in the Holte Suite or something? - it would be a good idea for them to voice concerns or even 'anger' regarding his arrival and question regarding his style of football, I think he can take it, he's certainly a hard nut to crack.
-
Well least we won't have to worry about defending.
-
Rumours going round that his no2 is...
Paul Tait (could be another wind up from the noses though)

Lol pathetic, its probably a phantom bid knowing Kenwright - he laid into the fans today.
