  1. I'm going to keep the details to myself.

The reason being, I've outlined many times in this thread SI's desire to stay, his desire to fight and win back his place in the side. I've told of the tactics that GH has employed in an effort to force SI out of the club.

In spite of all that, there is an abiding opinion that SI is a waste of time, effort and money. Nothing I say is going to change that, so it's not worth getting myself wound up over.

GH got his way, it seems. I hope it works out.

So what about him never trying when he is out there on the pitch?

Or should the whole teams tactics revolve around him?

He played some games under Houllier and did jack shit, there is nobody but himself to blame for that imo.

  2. Mad Men is stunning.

But its all about the characters, its not going to get any quicker than it is now, but the acting and writing is genius.

Better than The Wire and Sopranos imo, i know folk who cannot get on with it though because of its pace.

  3. Chelsea fail in £52m bid for Atletico's Aguero & Godin

Chelsea have had a £52m bid for Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero and defender Diego Godin rejected.

Atletico have also recently rejected a £39m bid for Aguero from Real Madrid.

"Atletico have said no to the two offers because they believe in these two players," said majority shareholder Miguel Angel Gil.

Argentina international Aguero, 22, has scored seven league goals this season, while Uruguay international Godin, 24, has won 43 caps.

"We never comment on transfer speculation, no matter how wild it is," said a Chelsea spokesman.

Aguero, whose father-in-law is Argentina legend Diego Maradona, joined the Spanish side from Independiente for a club record fee of £20m in 2006, while Godin joined the Madrid club from Villarreal in August 2010.

As well as failing in their joint bid for Aguero and Godin, Chelsea are thought to have been unsuccessful with a £17m bid for Benfica defender David Luiz in December.

However Chelsea remain hopeful of securing a deal for the 23-year-old Brazil international.

Meanwhile, Atletico have responded to speculation about the future of their coach Quique Sanchez Flores following a run of bad results.

The Europa League holders have been knocked out of this season's competition as well as the Spanish Cup, while on Sunday they lost 1-0 at struggling Sporting Gijon on Sunday to slip 10 points off the Champions League qualification slots.

But Gil told the Atletico website: "Sanchez Flores will be coach until the end of the season.

"At the end of the campaign we will talk."

  4. People slated MON for playing people in the wrong positions

I dont recall him playing this many players out of position Downing as a right winger gabby as a left winger? Isnt downing left footed and gabby right footed? Not to mention that gabby is a striker and not a winger

Didn't MON play the right footed Young on the left for almost all his time, here?

  5. What would be interesting to know is who was responsible for these contracts?

    AVFC.

The line that seems to have come from the club via official and unofficial sources appears to be O'Neill, solely.

He may well have controlled the discussions, been in charge of the details and come up with the amounts but Randy and others at the club will have known about them, surely?

Yup, one of Randy's biggest mistakes giving MON that amount of control imo.

    Beye 40k

    Got it easy.
