Brad MOTM for me but it was a God awful match with very little quality from both sides.
We can also be thankful that Newcastle were missing a couple of their better players.
If we stay in the Premiership major, major, surgery needed in the summer.

Well Albrighton "felt his groin" yesterday after training according to GH..
This is going to appear in 'The Sun' tabloid!
-
Our previous style of football was too predicable and we were never going to get into the top four with it.
GH will be our manager at the start of next season if we stay up. When he has had a full transfer window (summer) to get rid of the rest of our dead wood and restructure our club then between the start of the new season and Christmas will decide if he has been the right choice or not.
Although i have been a fierce critic of him on here i have decided to give him and the team my full support for the run in.
To bring another manager in now would be relegation suicide with all the changes he would bring. The team would be in even more turmoil than it already is at the moment!
GH was never my first choice. Martin Kol would have been the man to take us forward but he wasn't available when the board were looking for the new manager, so it might just end up being a masterstroke by the board to keep the faith?

Thats a great idea 'barry'sboots' but would Ash go to citeh instead of Man U and would Johnson come to us after the season we have just had?
-
Still very concerned about our defense and we will probably concede again against Newcastle. Pardew will know we are weak and clumsy in the centreback positions and that Brad is now suspect on crosses.
We were lucky that Everton had injuries and came away with a point. Newcastle will also not be at full strength and we can all be thankful for that but i'm still not confident that we'll get the three points.
2-2 for me with us still reliant on teams around us to keep dropping points.
-
Also no.
Johnson for me is a much more effective player and will only get better. Downing although being our standout player this season which wasn't hard, has already reached his full potential.
-
No from me as well. No future with him at the helm.
-
Not sure about 'we've got an excellent squad of players' comment but agree with your team selection if you'd use Delph instead of Petrov.
I'd pick Walker all day long over Cuellar against Everton due to Baine's pace and trickery!
Come on lads surprise us all and get the win.
-
Sorry but does GH really give a shit now? I doubt it.
-
I guess the 'April 1ST pranksters' are already out in force today. Would love it to be true though.

After noting Everton's injury list we should come away with at least a point but thats based on our players being played in their right positions and not approaching the game with a dose of the relegation scoots.
If Everton score first then we will lose.

I am not opposed to Mark Hughes, I still believe he has great potential as a manager. Although Jol would fit into our plans more.Martin Jol is the best available option to us.Also Van Gaal?
All up in the air at the moment though, since we cant even plan to approach anyone not knowing what Division we are in.
If we survive, then my money will be on Mark Hughes.
Agree with this. Jol likes his teams to play attractive football and he tends to sign players with technical ability. I wouldn't have Rafa anywhere near our club. Apart from anything else, in his after match interviews ending each sentence with no would drive me mental. How does he and his wife ever have sex...no!
-
At least Basset would look interested.

Really must get a point, going to be a tough battle but a point would be a great result in my opinion especially with the teams around/below us having difficult fixtures.
Friedel
Walker Cuellar Collins L.Young
Downing Reo-Coker Delph Young
Heskey Bent.
For me anyway. Only decisions for me are...
Dunne or Collins - went for Collins as better in the air than Dunne for me.
Delph, Makoun, Petrov - went for Delph, although don't mind any really.
Heskey or Gabby - Heskey will bring best out of Bent for me and with the delivery form wide, more of a threat arielly.
Prediction: 1-1 or 2-1 Everton.
Substitute Delph for Makoun and Gabby for Heskey then your there mate. Gabby in a front two with Bent will give Moyes something to think about.
Can see nothing but a defeat for us if GH is still in charge though!

Forgot about him tbh, good choice.I got a feeling it will be Steve Mclaren.Reaches for the AK47, unlocks the safety latch, points and.... Umbrella shops would do fantastic trade though :winkold:
'Fran_Villa,' Big Sam and now Steve Mclaren in one day. Your going well. Maybe we should give Mike Basset a go.

Predicted a loss if we conceded the first goal and so it followed. Watched the Sky Sports after match interview with GH and for me that was the most worrying part of the whole day. GH seemed to be in a daze just the way our team played for the whole ninety minutes. Something is very wrong with our manager who instils no confidence whatsoever that he has the answers to our present league position. Not sure if Martin Knol (spelling?) is still available but if he is i would pull the trigger now and get him in. As it is i think we will be totally reliant on what teams do around us for us to stay up!
-
Our defence will not be able to hold Jarvis and Milas at bay. We're going to lose this one as Wolves are also in better form than we are. Going to be a long long day without a happy ending.
-
Given the events of this week, given that Wolves are a battling team used to a fight and up for a fight and we are neither, given that they know they are in trouble and I do not believe our team do and that we are in a right old mess I think we will lose.
Agree with this especially if Wolves score first. Our players will get a very strong dose of the schoots and retreat behind the trouser leg of GH.

We are a very poor side. We are not where we are just by bad luck alone. The old saying 'the table never lies' does apply to us.
I just wish people would get real and accept it.
We struggled to beat a very poor Newcastle side without their first choice midfield and attack while we were at full strength.
Savage is correct!
