  1. Based on someone posting the comments of a couple of SAFC fans on Twitter? Can this be called a "fact"? It's not from Twitter. The lad posts on the SMB and he's not a bullshitter. Like all message boards we have our share of wind up merchants and fake ITK's but this lad isn't one of them. He rarely posts info, when he has without exception it has proven to be correct. Of course people will doubt it and post comments about the respective positions of our clubs, that's to be expected but don't write us off. We have sound backing now and our progress since Short arrived has been steady, we're not the shambles of a club we were a few years ago. There may be other factors too. Zog's girlfriend is from the NE and Bramble is a mate of his. Earlier this week Titus was tweeting asking Zog to join us. The delay in signing for you doesn't look good either, surely it should have been done and dusted by now? Of course it may all come to nothing and he could still sign for Villa, as I made clear, however much he wants to sign for us we wont meet his reported wage demands.
  2. The news is from the same lad who called Bent's transfer to you. Plus quite a few more moves well before they hit the news media. Whats he saying then? Only that Zog has told Whelan he wants to sign for Sunderland, not that he's about to sign.
  3. The news is from the same lad who called Bent's transfer to you. Plus quite a few more moves well before they hit the news media. Ah, I see. Well at least that would explain the comments from Whelan about other teams moving and shaking to get money on the table up front. I'm not sure Zog wanting to come to Sunderland will seal a deal. The common view up here is that we wont match his wage demands. I expect Short will remain adamant over this after all, he refused to up Bent's wages and he was a massively important player for us.

  5. Sunderland aren't interested and never have been according to one of our ITK's. Looks like he's all yours. Best of luck for the coming season lads.
  6. Supporting our new manager's former team I wonder murkydepths? If so, I can understand why you changed sides at the earliest opportunity. :winkold: No it is not the greatest is it? :winkold: Not likely, although I did grow up in Small Heath. Villa have always been my second team.
  7. Smug about what? We haven't landed him yet. Anyway, enough of the foreplay. How do you reckon this one will turn out then lads? I'm not overly confident of landing him but you know how it is, we can but hope. Do Sunderland have a requirement for N'Zogbia or any other winger? Doesn't Sessegnon play on the left? Not saying he's as good but looks quite useful. Bias aside, I still think Villa look the more attractive proposition for N'Zogbia. Higher profile, better forwards to aim his service at and although Bruce has done a high volume of business this summer, the team looks suspiciously like it will resemble a patchwork quilt of expensive gambles (Wickham) and players never-quite-good-enough-to-succeed-elsewhere to me. Nah, Sess quit his last club because he didn't want to play on the left. Where we are currently I think we have to gamble, adding Brown and JOS should see us alright and hopefully their signing will help us a little further along the road to premier league respectability. Not too long ago you were gambling on players like Young and Downing, I'd settle for the degree of success you've had developing them on.

  9. Is that the new nickname for Sunderland now? Bit harsh, its grim up North, but it ain't that bad. I grew up in Brum.
  10. You've remembered to put "Shit" starting with a capital letter as it's the start of a sentence, but you've missed the full stop out. Ah, the obligatory board pedant. Apologies, I have fat fingers, and a dick to match. I'm sure you'll forgive the use of an Oxford comma.
  11. Regards from sunny Sunderland Shit when the big boys nick your best players eh lads? May the best side win in the Zogbia tug of war.
