  1. Postponing this is a bad idea in my opinion, as said before it will lose momentum. People will start to doubt the whole thing.

If the club make a similar announcement before the Chelsea game will you postpone that one?

It was the only thing about Sunday I was looking forward to as well!

I think that's all a lie. Every word. Though I conceed you might know a friend of a friend who knows somebody who sits next to somebody, it's all bollocks. So either you've been had or you're having us.

    Each to their own.

  3. As I've said in the Tom Fox thread, I know Kirsten, the girl who he took out for dinner, through a mutual friend who sits next to her and her dad at Villa Park.

N'Zogbia told her he was asked by the club to take a pay cut. When he refused he was told he would never feature for the first team again. Villa pulled the plug on his deadline day move to Sunderland because they didn't want to sell to a relegation rival, terms were all agreed he said.

Get her to call the BM and tell her story I am sure they would love to hear the excellent behaviour of our idiotic chief executive

When I spoke to my friend who sits next to her yesterday evening I did say to him she should go to the press.

I might get a ticket for the next home game, as close to Fox as possible, and let him know it.

I'm also led to believe that the top tier of the Trinity will be closed next season if, or rather when, we go down.

  6. I know Kirsten through a friend that we give a lift up to Villa Park every week, he sits next to her and her dad in the front row of the Upper Trinity right behind the Directors box. He told us all about it on the way home after the game. He said she did not swear or use abusive language.

He also called me a few hours after the game having spoken to Kirsten's dad. The stewards also threw out two other people who weren't doing anything. The Club have also told her that if she wants to renew her season ticket she must move from that area of the ground.

  7. I don't care about Lerner,

    He don't care about me,

All I care about is AVFC,

I don't care about Tom Fox,

    He don't care about me,

All I care about is AVFC,

    I don't care about Hollis,

    He don't care about me,

All I care about is AVFC,

I don't care about those three,

    They don't care about me,

And they don't care about AVFC!!!

  8. I agree about the atmosphere needing to be improved. However I rather us not have a cringe worthy atmosphere like they have at Palace. E.g Singing league 1 songs, banging drums and jumping up and down even when the other team scores.

Nothing is more cringe worthy than "Stand up if you love Villa"!

  9. Villa park can be great. 90% of the time its dire.

Our chants seemed to have stagnated. The football has not helped, granted.

I agree. I think our home crowd relies on the football to get them going as opposed to the crowd trying to get the players going though. I appreciate it has been difficult with the years of dross we have been served up but now is a good time to change that with the increased optimism around the place.

  10. Wish people didn't sing this we support the villa whoah song that palace sing. It's incredibily small time

I wholeheartedly support people trying new chants or songs. How many do we regularly use? The Villa Park atmosphere has massive room for improvement in my opinion.

  11. OK, serious question.  There are absolutely loads of chants suggested on Villa Talk, some crap but some very good.  Yet they are rarely picked-up and sang at games.  Now assuming we want more songs at VP how do we change this?  Is it possible to do anything about it or are we doomed to sing Yippi Aye Eh and not much else?  I really think increasing the repertoire of songs would really help the atmosphere so I think this is an important question for Villa supporters.

As much as I hate the club and their fans with a passion, Man Ure do have and come up with good songs. I'm sure I've heard their supporters clubs have meets and hand out song sheets so the word gets about.
