It was up to £10 mil a year "performance related". Unless the criteria is "Don't be beyond appallingly abysmally shit and get more than 10 points in the league" they'll never reach it
At the last count, they currently owe the sponsors £5.

Nah, still Villa.

With Klopp leaving at the end of the season can they really find a better name?
Unfortunately, I think they are stuck with "Liverpool F.C.".

What a gesture, giving away something that doesn't belong to him presumably because he was too warm
Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.

The window doesn't open until the 33rd
(A waitress at a restaurant I worked at once said "I'll be back from vacation on the 33rd....and she was serious)
She sounds like a keeper.
A replacement for Olsen?

Unai said, "When I arrived here and started working with the players, they were progressively getting more comfortable being high."
Anybody else starting to think that Jack would fit perfectly into this system after all?

That’s not Zrinjksi’s pitch, it’s an away game. Zrinkjski have a better ground than that, the pitch isn’t great but its looks better in this video.
A nice scenic walk onto the pitch for the players, through a car park and some lovely trees
It looks like the same pitch. You can see the same angle in the interviews at the end of the video, from 8.20 onwards.

Buy a turd.
Give him to Unai
Polish it
I'd rather Unai was polishing rough diamonds than turds.

I really don't think there was any intent to be racist.
Why on earth would a player racially abuse another player in his own team who has just saved a penalty for the very same team!
It doesn't make sense.

Hmmm? I can't work out what it is he is holding in his right (or possibly left) handish trotter thing ..... and why he is trying to attach it to his hat brim?

Is he a cyclops?

Just can't see him going there. If his ambition is to win trophies, he'll be wanting to stay in Europe at the very least.
He must be perfectly used to not winning stuff by now.

Side note… why does everyone use “instinctual” nowadays rather than “instinctive”?
Perhaps they are employing their grammaticalesque instinctualnessitudinossity?

It's clearly Peter Andre.

Screaming blue merder!
(Hmm? That sounds more scouse than Geordie. I've gone from a French fishy pun.... that doesn't really work, to a French/Geordie pun in a Liverpudlian accent.)
I'm not cut out to be cunning linguist.

Southgate: "I think we've got four left-footed left-backs in the Premier League at the moment so we will have to start looking in the Championship or elsewhere."
Seems sensible also to at least look if he does not think that the Prem has enough coverage for the specific position he states here.

The 'elsewhere' part is stupid, he should be considering players based overseas (and clearly is, since Bellingham is in the squad and Tomori and Abraham have made previous squads, as did Sancho while overseas) but come on, surely nobody thinks we should be starting Championship players.
Surely, your description shows that the "elsewhere" part is sensible, not "stupid", as "elsewhere" includes overseas?

Nice to watch the two press conferences in which I could actually hear the questions clearly. Makes a hell of a difference.
