I rarely post but felt the strong urge to here.
I wonder why we are so calm with Delph and the Vlaar contract situations.
Two of our best players of the last 3 years and we (the club and fans) barely offer a whimper.
I am an avid Lazio supporter and I can tell you that they are a lot more emotional than we are (both the club and the fans). I know the clubs are different but I would have thought that the club could at the very least show some balls and apply some sort of pressure on these players.
The fact that we accept this behaviour by the players is indicative of the way the club as a whole has been run into the ground slowly but surely over the last 20 years.
Very disappointing for mine.

Chel$ki and Man Shitty were no bigger then we are now when they strated buying big name players which increased their fan bases massively. It honestly can happen to any club if there is money there.
For Chelsea and Man City supporters prior to UAE and Russian takeovers, it was pure luck.
The bigger fan bases you are talking about are just bandwagon supporters that will die out like they have with Leeds.

Will be gone at the end of the season

Fair enough. "Baby I was wrong!"

Remember lowtons last season? Was one of the most outrageous goals you'll ever see and didn't even get goal of the season before rvp which admittedly was great technique but still. Who even tries what delph did there, its a ridiculous touch.
Yes. Especially when we weren't already winning and especially against the league leaders to break the deadlock. Utterly insane. Hugely underrated

Lol obviously meant Matic...
At least he's magic thoughMagic was so shit in the lead up to the goal. Let Delph step around him and then failed to track him. Plastic team is plastic

I can't wait to finally post in the Rating and reactions thread

Still feels like Chelsea have an extra man
-
This Willian bloke can't spell William or tackle.
-
We need a third thread to talk about these two threads
-
Bennett was a boy last season. More of an actual man this year.
Yeah. He can grow a moustache now
-
still a tool in the shedHazard is quality.

you don't think it was a red? He just said that bennett should 'be off for me'
The laws say denial of a clear goal scoring opportunity, not "last man," don't they? Not that I think this was a red.
Yeah and...it was the incorrect call if vlaar wasn't right next to him. Unfortunately for the laws of the game he is not last man.Bennett should be off for me. Can you imagine the noise on here if that had happened to Benteke at the other end?

My rating of this thread is that it is good. My reaction to not losing is also good.

I particularly don't like mourningho and Oscar.

Yay. Chelation for everyone

Good player. Have seen much worse play (and not play) for villa.

Not an option.
This. Its imply not an option, if we were to go down i'd really fear for us turning into another leeds. Big club but just staying in the championship for a number of years.
If we survive this year the club need to recognise we wont scrape by every year and eventually it will catch up to us like it did wigan and the summer would have to see us spend premierleague money on premierleague quality players.
Oh NO. Aston Villa, a PL club, needs to spend money on PL quality players. The horror.
Wake up Lambert
The Possession Game
in Villa Talk
Posted · Edited by Christ_JM
I like the possession football played in Italy.
I know it is unpopular in England but it is momentum based and can cause devastating effects.
Imagine Villa playing around with the ball for a while, as mentioned earlier, Tottenham's players' stamina is running low, one of their fullbacks is slightly lazy and Grealish slides a ball to Gil to cross in to Tekkers for a simple flick finish.
After kickoff Villa continue to retain the ball, quite "boring", under more and more pressing from Tottenham, more spaces open up and Gabby and Weimann are actually useful as there is now space available to pass to and for them to run in.
I would like Villa to play like this as it is clear we have players who can retain possession, the tactics now need to be about outfoxing the opponent tactically.
