I'm waiting for MON to call a press conference. He'll sit down on his lonesome in front of the press looking all troubled, and he'll thank everyone for coming. He'll then mention that Milner has not yet signed a new contract and that discussions are still ongoing. He'll be bombarded with questions that he can't answer and he'll begin to panic.

At this point a man in the press steps forward. He has a long ponytail and a bushy beard and he's wearing sunglasses. He steps forward again so he is in front of the table. Suddenly, he pulls his beard, whips off his glasses and removes his coat. IT WAS JAMES MILNER IN DISGUISE! He laughs, MON laughs, they hug, and then he signs a new contract there and then. They pose for photographs and leave the room.

Albeit in a poor team, he was out of his depth in the world cup. And while I was willing him on so much, I was expecting him to do something good more in hope than anything else.

Lets give credit to MON and how hes brought Jimmy (who also deserves some credit) on, and I see no reason why he cant do it with other players.

I wouldnt count out a huge season from Ash, Gabby and DJ - because I think them not going to the world cup is a blessing in disguise. That was an England team not to be in!!!!

Last year i kept saying well hes playing out of posiiton! Then when we played west ham and he played CB i though god he is still awful!

This year though he has shone in evrey game! Fair play to the lad! Just more proof that we need to get behind our players to get the best out of them! Less Booing more encourgement! I do thin it helps that he is playing with better defenders though!

Petrov is quality no doubt and i still think if he had played on sat against bolton outcome owuld of been the same! HOWEVER thats football, a team does well whil your away, tough luck you have to bide your time to get back in! Thats the nature of the game! Same with Collins as well IMO! Although he has been immense so far this year he should have to wait too! Same team for me, if there was one thing that was brilliant about sat is that warnock and young at full backs were supporting the wingers giving them more room and being a threat! Viva le Warnock and L Young!

Anyone expecting top 4 this year is off their rocker and is clearly expecting way too much. The big 4 are there for a reason, they've made themself a top club over the years and spent massively to stay there. Anyone thinking we can go from 16th to 4th in 4 years is living in a dream World.

How many time do we have do this! Heskey is Carews back-up when hes out injured! A good back-up at that!

MON will decide what formation is needed and then strikers will be picked to accomadate that but i'm certain that carew is first choice target man, heskey backing that up! And I've been to every game this year and ok he cant hold it up like carew (who can?) but he certainly looks sharper, faster, works hard, still hard to defend against and hes getting into goalscoring positions in the box....if milner hadnt rifled that one past last night he would of scored again beacuse he gamble in the box! A attribute we all said we wanted, like an owen.

Perfectly fine with Heskey playing beacuse hes a good player to replace carew! No doubt carew on form is better but i certainyl dont mind having heskey as his back-up!

Id like turner not just beacuse his defending ability but he may come little closer to laursen's prowess in the other teams penalty box! Weve missed laursens attacking ability from set pieces!
