    To strengthen his legs James Milner's Dad used to make him run up and down Ilkley Moor three times before breakfast wearing only his flat cap............and carrying a horse.

    James Milner once played 18 holes of golf and only took 17 shots.

    Just before the Hull away game James Milner climbed Mount Everest in his swim shorts.........wearing flippers.........and a blindfold, just for the hell of it.

    Yesterday Jimmy Milner left his house in Leeds at 3am and walked to the pit. He did a 10 hour shift and at 1pm jogged to Blackburn in his hob nailed boots, pausing on the way for a pint o' Tetleys and fish and chips out o t' paper. He arrived at Blackburn 5 mins before k.o. played, scored, ran 15 miles during the game and afterwards ran back to Leeds for an evening shift at the fire station, eating a suet pudding on the run.
