I just watched an episode of Red Dwarf for the first time in about a decade. I've been watching it since I was 8 or 9.

Suddenly, and I'm not quite sure how this happened, I'm clearly older than Rimmer and Lister.

    ****.

I read that too quickly, thought it said Rimmer & Fister

    Nice!

Agree about My Glove, and I also had little inclination to see the band  without Dennis.

I’ve seen his nephew Kevin Love perform multiple times, that’s gotta count for something 🤣

I generally only wear band tees if I've seen them.

Didn't actually see the Beach Boys but did see Brian on his Smile tour in '04.

Same. I have seen a lot of bands 😉 Like some wise men once sang,

    I have spent my life
    Seeking all that's still unsung
Bent my ear to hear the tune
And closed my eyes to see

Seen Brian 4 or 5 times. All of his appearances at Neil Young’s Bridge School Benefit plus once here in Chico on campus in 2015 (with Al Jardine & Blondie Chaplin)

Never seen the Beach Boys but that’s not a big deal since (A) I have seen Brian multiple times & (B) not into giving Mike Love my money 🤣  They seem to play in this area several times a year but it’s always an easy pass for me. If Love still lives in Tahoe makes sense that they play the area as regularly as they do

Wish I could have seen Carl but wasn’t in the cards. Same with Dennis but he died while I was still in high school.

Based on the Rettendon Murders, when three small time Essex drug dealers were executed in a Range Rover down a farm track, in the mid 90s

For some reason its had about 10 films made about it (Rise of the Footsoldier, Essex Boys, etc) and has amassed an almost cult interest.

👍👍 I knew of the crime but knew nothing of the films

We met up with Ed Roach who was  Dennis Wilson’s best buddy and partner in crime for 14 years. He drove us past the house on Will Rogers estate that Dennis moved out of when the Family wouldn’t leave.

Also took us to marina deli rey to see the slip where Dennis” boat was moored and where he ultimately died.

Took us to a gig at a club in Hollywood too and even gave us a lift to the airport when we went home.

A legend in Beach Boys circles and we felt privileged to spend time with him.

My missus loves his heavy electric stuff - Like a Hurricane, Walk Like a Giant, Cortez the Killer, all that stuff.

A lady after my own heart! My wife is the exact opposite when it comes to Neil. Like a Hurricane triggers her 🤣

I’m all for the Crazy Horse epic meltdown kind of stuff, it’s never loud or crazy enough for me. Was 12 in 78 so missed Live Rust but fortunate enough to have caught every Crazy Horse tour since 86

Walk Like a Giant (and Psychedelic Pill in general) vastly underrated. Ramada Inn is an all-timer 👍👍

It's a small world. I was lucky enough to Cecil play when I was very young, as he played for my local Australian team, the Geelong Supercats, in the early 90s. The team unfortunately is no longer in the national competition, but hopefully that will change very soon.

I must be a good bit older than you. 😜
