That pathetic excuse of a diving header epitomised his season so far.

It came quickly and an awkward height for McGinn, I’m sure in retrospect he’d have played it differently
Came quickly? He was literally running towards the ball.
-
Surely he won’t last any longer if we lose this.
-
We will lose this. Their fans will be bang up for it with their first ‘local’ home derby of the season. I can see a scrappy 1-0 loss. Hey, at least that will surely spell the end for that clown Gerrard.

Always the beginning of the end for a manager. A bad sign
Reminds me of Smith away at Southampton.

Stevie’s realised it’s time to throw on as many strikers as possible and hope something happens. No other tactical nous.
-
Wonder if we’ll do better against 10…
-
Why can’t any of our players take a corner!
-
Our captain can’t even pass it straight back to the goalkeeper.
He’s done.
-
I forgot how shit we were over the International Break.
-
He’s been completely shackled by Pep. There’s no way he enjoys playing in this system as much as he did for Villa. Medals and trophies aside, it has been a truly poor move for him.

Yup, I expect they were happy to write off Arsenal and Man.City as outliers and not in their league scenarios. Funny though considering we are aiming to win every game and compete for Europe; some real mixed messages from club and Manager. It is a S*** Show.
Gerrard will fluke a win against Leicester and be all rosy in the world of NSWE.
I think he'll be here until the Winter/World Cup break at the very least.
Please God no. He’s literally sucking all the enthusiasm out of the fanbase with each passing day he remains here.
What is the actual point of enduring him any longer? There is absolutely no evidence to suggest he can turn this around. The tactics and system are absolutely horrific - I genuinely can’t remember the last time we looked so bad. Even under Bruce, at least we made the play off final. Got to be going back to the relegation season to get close to this complete nightmare.
The narrow set up angers me so much. To have Bailey as our only remaining out and out winger at the club is unforgivable for a club of our supposed stature. The substitutions are dumbfounding, and as for persisting with McGinn… literally I have no words.
The players don’t believe in him. Does Purslow really believe his starboy can seriously inspire a turn of results?
All the positivity around the stadium expansion has been overshadowed by Gerrard’s ineptitude. We’re supposed to be aiming for Europe, we couldn’t be further away from such a dream. To think the season tickets were increased for us to have to endure this situation. Bottom of the league if Leicester win tonight, it’s an utter disgrace!

Our only hope is that Pep rests Haaland and a few others prior to matchday one of the Champions League.
By ‘hope’ - I refer to keeping the score below 0-7.
-
Well on this final day of the window let’s all acknowledge what an absolute shitshow it has been. Ambitions of Europe is what Purslow will have you believe, yet our business this window has been a shambles (Kamara aside).
-
Why is he still here?! Put us all out of our misery.
-
This is torture. It’s men against boys. I honestly cannot see how SG can last any longer.

We’ve got him for another 3 years. Letting him learn this season will benefit us long term. His personal development is arguably more important than the teams results. One step backwards. 2 steps forward.
Is this a joke? Letting him learn this season would take us into the Championship.
His ‘personal development’ is more important than the results of Aston Villa Football Club? What planet are you on? We owe him nothing.

Absolute clown, clueless. Shocking subs, system is appalling.
-
The system needs changing, but let’s just persevere and pretend it’s all fine.

Can’t see anything other than a loss. 1-3 West Ham.
-
Newcastle signing Isak for £60m and we’re signing Jan Bednarek after weeks of no signings. Wonderful.
-
Shocking player. Pathetic excuse for a captain.
