Excellent for 25 minutes then the same old bad habits crept into our play. It’s so frustrating because Everton are playing hoof it Burnley style football. If we stop McNeil, we stop their threat and yet we have literally let him have the ball whenever he wants it

I can’t believe people on here saying we were shit. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion I know but Is this the difference between being a supporter and a fan? If so go follow whichever team wins the title. We don’t need you.
I’m gutted we lost today. It was a great game and we deserved a draw

Great to see Buendia and Coutinho linking up so well. Ironic because they are both 10’s and Gerrard wanted to play them both but didn’t have the tactical nous to make ut work

Coutinho has been excellent. Showed some positive signs of improvement this last month

He's been really poor today, imo. Couple of times he's come out, looked really slow, and got nowhere near it
Have to agree , he’s made a few poor decisions that made it easier for them to score. No excuse for the defensive errors though

Great Ref (irony intended)

Buendia is fast becoming the new Trez, 100% effort 30% ability. If only Coutinho had his commitment

Plently of space in the midfield we need ramsey going forward breaking the lines. Buendia did it put poor decision making let us down

Last thing we needed in this game is an overly fussy ref

Most pleasing thing about today is that we look like a team with shape and organisation. Everyone knew their job. Excellent midfield performance from luiz/kamara and Ashley Young defying his age once again. Olsen got more confident as the game went on but for me he doesn’t command his area and his distribution isn’t as good as Emi’s. It was also good to see Coutinho come on, chase back and press. It shows his attitude is spot on

I'm a lifeling Villa fan, my first game was in 1973 in 2nd division. Andy Lockhead was the first player I remember. My favourite all time villa players are Alex Cropley, Gordon Cowans, Paul McGrath and Ian Taylor.

Bailey is just a waste of a shirt at the moment. He should be busting a gut to get forward every time we are in transition. Instead he’s just jogging around the pitch
