  1. A suggestion for the Holte Pub - why not have a simple website that allows people to reserve their entry for an upcoming game. It could go "live" say a week before a fixture for people with tickets to register. Those who don't have Internet access could text a number.

People would give their seat number or booking reference.

By only allowing people to express their interest in turning up say a week before the match, it allows:

    a) eager season ticket holders to gain access (a whole week before a game, fewer tickets would have been sold)

    B) people who are very eager to go have the opportunity to confirm they're going up to a week in advance (possibly increasing likelihood of turning up)

Now out of 40,000 people many will obviously be disappointed, but at least this way it rewards those who buy tickets early and show an interest in going to the pub.

  2. OS reporting Barry could be back for tonight

Does this article seriously suggest that there will be senior players rested. That is a pretty bloody poor state of affairs given that we need to rest players before the season has started. Hate to think what the state of play will be in January.

    Give over.

It's not a rest because they're exhausted. It's always the way in any football club's pre-season. Players are rotated and rested. Happens from local football all the way up to Champions League sides.

Check out any pre-season fixtures we've had and it's always been the same.

  3. I was thinking this last night.

You can tell Dixon has some tacit defensive knowledge in there and it occasionally rears its head if you read into what he has said. Unfortunately, most of the time it just comes out as "right, what he's done here is he's run out of the box and left his man. I played for Arsenal you know. And then as you can see it's in the net".

  4. Ah... a wonderful email forwarded from my friends at SJM.

    Hello all,

I hope you are well...I shot an online viral campaign for Wonderbra last week and we just posted it on Youtube - we are trying to make this a bit of a hit (The Sun are running a piece on it tomorrow so I am told) so I would be most appreciative of your support - can y'all view it when you get a sec and give us a boost....It's a parody of the amazing Cadbury's Gorilla ad....oh and did I mention it was for Wonderbloodybra?

    I thank you...one and all.

    best,

    Dan

I must say.. it's really quite.... interesting.... think it would make it onto our TV screens?

    THE ADVERT

    Reminds me of

that was doing the rounds a few years ago.

I don't know what she's advertising, but I want some. Good good indeed. NSFW

  5. General what are your thoughts on today's news that a Premier League match may soon take place on American soil? Are you for or against, and is it something that has been considered in the past by Randy?

For the record I'm against it as I think it's not great for English fans and it also devalues the MLS, but that's just my two cents.

  6. I know it's been mentioned and noted and surely investigated but the toilets in the Upper Holte were like a smoking room at half time last night.

It might well be up to the fans to report it but seeing as it was like a wall of smoke as soon as you walked in I can't believe that a member of staff wouldn't have noticed something.

But then, it was hardly the worst part of last night!

  7. OS rumour site linking us with Phillipe Lahm, probably a relation of Philip Lahm. What source was that?

I would have kittens if we got Lahm, no way he'd come to us though.

He is a left back and that is one of our strongest positions with Bouma imo. I know that Lahm is right footed but he likes to cut in from the left so although he is a superb footballer I would look to spend his considerable transfer fee elsewhere.

Lahm is a quality player and would walk into our right back position, which is a form of movement beyond Mark De La Ney at the moment.

However, he is quite literally world class and we'd pay through the nose for him.

Plus, he's a typical Bayerische Junge. He won't leave Bayern unless he thinks they won't be Champions next year. Which they will.
