If Klopp managed the Blues, would you want them to win the league?

    God no!

But would still say that I'm a fan of the man, he's a great manager. But if he managed the blues, I would hope he lost every game by loads of goals.

Why even create that scenario? He's a class manager!

Thats because he is an awful business man who is lucky his old man made himself a flippin fortune and then left it to his boy to squander on a rich mans folly.

Had he been half decent; with the money he as spent on the club he would have had us still in the premiership and challenging the top 6.

    I completely agree!

id accept di matteo if our chinese overlords backed him...

wouldnt be first choice but we could almost certainly do worse

As long as they back him, but aren't the Chinese known to be stingy with the money, aren't other Chinese owners across all different clubs similar to this?

To be fair to Randy he is not far off being a billionaire again after selling the Browns, I really don't think he gives two shits. He is hardly struggling

Probably not, but he will go down as one of the worst owners for both organizations...

Quite a few journos saying he is over there to complete the sale, think we're about to say bye bye to Randy!

Good. Randy shot himself in the foot with this one. Could've received ALOT more money for the club with spending a little more and keeping us up, but instead he's having to sell for dirt cheap compared to what he could've possibly received!

    He got West Brom promoted...

...but yeah, I'm not overly chuffed if we've got him.

Neither am I, something about him doesn't sit well with me.

Who are the other candidates that are being drawn up?

sale completion in days. Roberto di mateo preferred manager.

Is Di Mateo really the type of manager to bring us back up to the Prem? Not sure he has the fight and drive for the championship to be honest...

The best out of Lukaku, Benteke, Origi and Batshuayi is Batshuayi?

Without a doubt better then Benteke/Origi. Lukaku is definitely questionable. But he has a lot more potential for sure. He has the pace, power, hold up ability/link up play and finishing ability. He just needs a move to the Prem to solidify it.

He's got more potential than Ayew I think.

I agree. He's a quality striker and I believe the best out of the other 3 Belgian strikers (Lukaku, Benteke, Origi). If you're going off the national team strikers that Wilmots picks...

That's solely what's portrayed in the media, no?

Yes, by many media outlets and the overall perception of him.

I was just stating my thoughts, being new to these forums and jumping in on the conversation.

  11. Garde was very much out of his depth!

We were in a fighting position to stay up, and with that in mind, we didn't need his calm complacent demeanor. We needed a fire lit under our players and someone with a drive and passion to keep us up. Garde offered none of that what so ever. I'm all for a "classy" manager but it wasn't the time for that.

Would anyone be up for Nigel Adkins? Knows the championship and was quality under Southampton, earning them consecutive promotions from League 1 to the PL. Wasn't a bad manager in the PL, Southampton just wanted to pursue European football and went with a more experienced manager in Pochettino.

  12. Hello, my name is Lance!

Fairly new Villa fan, after searching for a club to support and not wanting to be a band wagoner and support a club like ManCity, Chelsea, United etc. Long time supporter of football overall and watch many games across all leagues. I'm from across the pond in the states, specifically from Texas. I am 21 years of age and have played football competitively in professional youth teams over here in the states and know a fair share of the game. I look forward to chatting and contributing to this forum!

    Thanks! ;)
