Any marketing people got insight on why they chose Friday morning for this? People more likely to spend on the weekend (if the kit is announced today too)?

Social media engagement measurably higher on Fridays also less competition for earned media coverage & PR with the CL final tomorrow

  3. Still probably carrying an injury, might also want a summer off with his new wife. They got married and he. Same here days later if I remember.

Mate, clearly you've made your mind up and it's not for changing, that's fine, but seriously grow up, the rest of the adults are trying to have a conversation here.

Come on now Stu, I’m only 20… A kid, right?

See you back in this thread, in the near future gents ⏳

    This is completely false.

Duran has made a not-inconsiderable contribution to our qualifying for the Champions League, he scored the 2 goals against Liverpool that sealed that qualification for us, only 14 days ago, yet seemingly forgotten about already. Not to mention a stunning goal against Palace to change the game in our favour.

Honestly, I can't understand this sudden need to vilify the kid just because his agent has said agent things and some social media nonsense, it's madness. He's a part of the squad that has just had an amazing season, he's contributed, he's ours, how about supporting him?

He's a kid, he needs guidance and patience, not some completely unnecessary witch hunt.

Get your tongue out of his doughnut. There's a whole lotta smoke for no fire. We've had player comments, constant unrest in the media, questionable attitude, 'fallings out with emery', shit body language. All smacks of a messiah complex, instead of other young, successful players who do as they're told, wait for their chance, shine and earn more minutes.

Fingers crossed we get a nice price for him 🤞

I think the players should come out to this.

**** hell mate. Led out through a tunnel of smoke by Darth Vader?

  7. This kid seems to bring nothing but negativity to an otherwise positive tenure for our club. Regardless of his ceiling, his seemingly toxic personality and this constant unsettling will be more of a problem than it’s worth. He’s 20 years old and can make his own decisions - If he backs himself elsewhere, then who are we to hold him back. Good luck to him

(P.s Jhon, say hi to Chuck’who’mueka for us 👍

  8. Fans were more patient with this guy than any other player in the history of the club. Hopefully we have the same amount of patience with Buendia when he returns 😍

  9. Honestly think we’re too quick to write him off.
Think about the mitigating circumstances here:

Pairing with Lenglet, Olsen in goal, No Kamara, Konsa at RB, Luiz out of form, long term injury - He has shown more than enough to be 2nd/3rd choice for us. We’ve watched him perform beautifully in a healthy squad - Every players quality has taken a hit due to our injury circumstances, doesn’t mean we should **** them all off does it? 🥲

It's just fine. The amount of people overly emotional & pompous about a drop shadow is absolutely comical though. Seriously if your getting that upset & wound up over a shadow on a badge. I think you should speak to someone.

It’s wank and represents our club in a sub-optimal way, during a global expansion.

The rollout, communication, non-consult of fans has been nothing shy of a **** disgrace - we’ve literally had 3 crests this year and it’s not ok.

Call me a shrink, I’ll tell him the badge is disgusting aswell 👍

Yeah I think it’ll be that, I hadn’t seen the Germany kit so I posted the Scotland kit, but it’s the same template just different colours I think. If it looks like that I’ll be happy!!

    Very Similar.

  12. Whoever runs the marketing department at Villa Park needs the sack. **** awful rollout - Atleast redeploy the website/social channels with the logo and give the new badge some sort of fanfare?

These lot really are so far out of touch with the fanbase at times. Not that difficult is it? Might not be a big deal for them, but for us it’s all we’ve been talking about for 6+ months.

VAR is a total and utter waste of time and a confusing mess. If it can't point out things that the ref has missed them why does it exist? Just scrap it. Should never have been brought into the game in the first place.

We’d be f****d without VAR mate. Our high line is dependant on it. We use VAR to our advantage for the most part

Crazy Train has been sampled, covered and used in commercials so the cultural relevance is definitely there.  We could do a hip hop blend like the song below if we want it to appeal more to a younger crowd. Obviously the offensive words need to be cut out.

I hope you’re serious. This is funny as **** 😂😂

Tell that to Geezer! Some of the other stuff they play before Crazy Train gives many of us a migraine too...there is no pleasing everyone, other than last night, that is. :flag:

Ahh mate, no disrespect meant. I'm well aware of the they role they played in defining metal and heavier music, I'm typically a big fan of the genre, I just dont think the music sounds pleasant while the players are walking out. Would prefer something more energetic and melodic, that the home fans consistently sing to welcome the boys onto the pitch, setting the tone for the game ahead. Nobody sings along to Crazy Train.

Ortega's performance tonight highlighting why this "who could we get as a number 2?" bleating is a nonsense. Comes in, fourth game this season, makes some blinding saves and City's style of play remains unchanged. 29 year old from Bielefeld when he joined them.

Well done for Olsen in his last start, let's say goodbye amicably at the end of the season and get someone dependable in as deputy.

Mate forget about it for now, we’ve just qualified for the CL. Let’s celebrate that for a bit shall we?
