i think he is a good player but i still feel that we need to prioritise a cb and i think if we sign him a possible move for a cb in return could be jeopardised!!!

Your current line of posting seems like you're nailing your colours to the mast so you can say you were right later on.

This isn't picking on you or PoP because you've done in the past. You've said 'I was right when etc etc'.

Seriously, it's like your suggesting I'm the only one with that opinion. The whole forum is basically crying out for Charlie Austin. That would indicate that most don't believe ayew and gestede are up to the job they were brought into do.

 

austin dont think this will happen need a better cb send richards to rb playing the new cb beside clarke and i think that will shape up are defence quite nicely!!!

dont think this one is happening although it would be fantastic to have him he could bring allot to the back four!!

I'll be honest, I don't really want to see someone come in and stop the progression of Clark or Okore. I'd like both of them to play plenty of minutes this season. Sherwood has looked at the defence, we've signed a new back up keeper, tried to replace guzan and replaced half of the starting defensive unit.

I'd be happy with another crespo type to cover the loss of Baker and senderos but I don't expect more than that.

clarke i know him for being a very rash in challenges and i think libor could vouch for that! too much of a liability seems to be always prone to doing something stupid.

okore i cant make my mind up about him but for wat ive seen not much has stood out to impress.

we need to streghten this area as i think its the teams current biggest weakness and it would be a terrible shame because i do think that this squad could make there mark and it would be a huge let down if we didnt try to streghten and as a result conseded allot of goals!!

Clark came on leaps and bounds last season, the injury to Libor happened a long time ago now.

you cant tell me that you think clark can be the inspiring centre back that is going to lead our defense and be the key player for that position.

your mad because i wouldnt even rate him as one of the top 20 defenders that are currently in the league....

I'm not concerned as I don't feel we need another attacking player, I'd rather we strengthened our defence.

 

Stoke are a decent side, Hughes has done well with them and our history counts for little when you consider where we have been the last 5 years.

 

it feels like we are just there to force Stoke to act quickly, maybe even pay more, who knows, but either way I don't think we are in for him.

Totally agree with the sentiments about who we should sign and where Stoke are today relative to us. Its a sad fact but they are more successful at the moment. We may have a bigger history but so do many other clubs. Given some of the posts on this thread it would not surprise me one bit if links to it were being posted and laughed at on a Stoke forum. Echos of us with Leicester last week?

totally disagree with you there i think quality in the right mid has to be improved significantly if we can get a talent like this could be the final piece to the puzzle to the creativity and attacking sense to our team we currently dont have a quality rw or rm!!!

definately think he will start for us in the opening game tim seems quite fond of his ability and his attributes that will fit in to sherwoods game quite well

he is no doubt a starter for me but as what often does happen i could end up being surprised whether it will be a good or bad thing i dont know but i definately cant wait for game time against bournemouth either way!!!
