We could finish 4th and get knocked out in the final qualifying round (like Everton did). But people would sacrifice the World Cup for that?

If you had wrote 'England to the World Cup or Villa to win the Premier League, then that would be a more comparable and difficult choice.

I'd rather a team i support win a major tournament, than just qualify for one.

OK, I realise that he is a cheating, dirty bad sport, but I would love Villa to sign Michael Ballack. Yes he is a right tool, but his presence and ability to dominate midfield, as well as score the odd goal, would be brilliant for our midfield.

I agree he'd be a good signing, i bet he's on stupid money at Chelsea though.

Shame KP Boateng crocked him the other day, because he's angry at the Germans.

He's a free agent this summer, unless he signs a new contract with Chelsea. I think he wants to stay though and they'll probably offer him a new deal.

I doubt MON would spend that amount on him, not when we have Ashley Young, Milner, Downing and Albrighton competing for places on the wing already.

I think our priority will be strikers and central midfielders, thats where the money with go.

Apparently he's abit of a word removed anyway, he'd only end up annoying MON and spend his time at Villa Park sat on the bench like Reo-Coker.

Huntelaar and Carrick for me.

Huntelaar is still one of the best finishers in Europe if you can get him to settle. I think the prem will suit him.

Would be amazing if we signed these two, unfortunatly it's unlikely it will ever happen. Fergie signed Carrick for something like 16m, even at 28 he wouldn't let him go cheap. Huntelaar is even less likely.

Last year Gareth Barry signed for Man City at the beginning of June, there's also other transfers annouced around that time, like when the Luke Moore deal was done with West Brom.

I've just been down to the polling station, i voted Lib dem locally and im not sure whether i voted tory or lib dem nationally.

On the national slip, they only gave me a choice of 4 different parties, what happens if i wanted to vote another party nationally who wasn't on list?

That's what threw me off, also on the national slip it didn't say Brown, Cameron, Clegg..., it said 'Trout' and some others. wtf is Trout?

It didn't bother me. That goal actually did us a favour, because Everton and Blues drawing on the weekend was the best result for Villa.
