The "rating" part of the "ratings & reaction" thread is going to bit a bit difficult watching the BBC Sport text service

Blackberry. Used to be the shit, now largely irrelevant in 2015. Remind you of anything?
lol!
Saying that, we are the champions of ruining companies. Mita Copiers, AST Computer, NTL, LDV Vans, Rover, MG... all died. Only a matter of time before DWS, 32 Red, Genting, etc go bankrupt. Muller are the only exception

There is a world of difference between being champions of Europe and winning a second tier domestic cup
sha would celebrate a League Cup win, its all they've got to cling on to.
I think someone is taking this a bit too seriously.
And it's not a celebration of anything... it's just basing something on the club's history... because you know... we're a club full of history

Celebrating a league cup win 20 years ago is embarrassing
Erm... our current kit is based on a Euro Cup win 30 years ago...
-
Well I've had a search and not found anything similar. I've seen this type of thing on other forums, so thought I'd start a new thread.
If, like me, you enjoy playing around with Photoshop (or other image software) then get posting up your ideas for kits.
Not limited to Villa - all clubs welcome!
I'll get the ball rolling with my idea for next season's Villa kits:
(Ignore the 5 on the GK shorts, I forgot to change it *doh*)

Too little, too late.

If we play like we did in the last game, we'll smash them. There was a certain Va Va Voom in the squad.
And for God's sake Lambert... play Bacuna more often. In the short time he was on, he set things alight!

Wonder what everyone is talking about
-
Robbed. Referee's a word removed
-
EDIT: Forgot to add... the refs have been appointed and the 4th official for this coming match is someone who Lambert doesn't like very much. Kevin Friend

Weird how Villa started so well and Manu were terrible... now it's a complete role reversal. If you'd asked me a while back I would have expected at least a point from this game.
Now though... we gon get spanked (if I'm being realistic).
However, UTV! Let's 'ave 'em!

Lots of strange posts in this thread. The sending off completely changed the game.
Richardson was sent off @ 21:29
In that time, Villa:
- Won a few free kicks
- Had a couple of corners
- Did not get a single shot on target
- Had to defend like mad (Pocognoli and Dorrans shots)
- Had no direction, no tactics... hoofed the ball up field
So what actually changed after Richardson was sent off?

It's very easy to blame Richardson.
During half-time they showed highlights of a 2011 AVFC vs WBA match, in which WBA were down to 10 men................... and they won.
We were simply diabolical, even before Richardson was sent off.

Cleverley likely to be fit for this game.
Out of all the games, this is the one I want to see us smash. Derbys are always good for a bit of spitting violence - hope it's a good show.
I'm also hoping Hercules and Bella get let of the leash and chew on Baggie Bird & Albi. Nomnomnomnomnomnom...
-
For the first time in a while the bookies have us down to win:
AVFC - 6/5
Draw - 12/5
LCFC - 11/5
I'm feeling positive about this one. 2-0 Villa.

I think keep the formation we used at the weekend, hopefully Cole can do two games in a few days, if not, I hope it's Grealish and we don't try to make either Gabby or Weimann our playmaking number 10.
For the front two, Gabby's looked dangerous for an hour of both of our last two games, I think you start him with Benteke.
So Gabby and Benteke, with Cole in behind and Weimann and Grealish to come on with 20 minutes left.
I quite like that.
I'm on a similar train of thought, but with a few differences:
Andi is getting very frustrated as the game goes on and he's getting prone to wearing himself out early on - this is why I'd like to see him come on as a sub... but in an assisting role, rather than as a striker. That might help counteract our 2nd half "we're really tired and want to sit back" approach. Hopefully that would re-inject some pace and keep the fight going forward.
I want to see Jack start then maybe come off later on, mainly to see what he can do. Impossible to gauge his abilities at the moment.
A big focus on refreshing the midfield would hopefully keep the ball going forward. Need to stop this sitting back crap and attack, attack, attack! Our defence isn't bad at the moment, it's just that they aren't getting a break - midfield need to do a better job of keeping hold of the ball so the back 4 don't get run ragged.

How does that have any relevance to your original post?
BollocksPretty sure this "glad we got a point" phrase is becoming dangerous. It's tantamount to accepting relegation.
How is it bollocks?
We haven't won a match since the 13th September.
We're a massive club floating near relegation - THAT is bollocks.
Your saying if I am happy with a point its the same as me accepting relegation.
That, my friend, is bollocks.
Of course being happy with a point is accepting relegation. You do realise we need to win SOME games to stay up, right?
I'm 100% behind Roy Keane philosophy - doesn't matter who you face, 3 points or f*** off.

Surely it depends on the circumstances. "Glad we got a point" versus Burnley would be unacceptable. "Glad we got a point" about the team second in the league who are noted for their fast, free-flowing, high-scoring football is, I think, absolutely reasonable. You're right that we shouldn't let complacency set it, but a draw today is probably the best we could have realistically hoped for and a lot more than most expected.
The only reason they are second in the league is because they have the complete opposite run as us.
We had a run of very hard games - Saints on the other hand have been playing Leicester and other "whatever" clubs.
"Glad we got a point" results in the following: http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/matchday/form-guide.html
Yes that's right... we're STILL at the bottom.
I'm placing my bet on relegation now.
