Weird that the website won't allow tickets to be bought today, it just says "coming soon" and then "you cannot purchase tickets at this time" even though i qualify for the criteria.

    Sold out now

Flights booked for this one. Anyone any idea when tickets might go on general sale? Will it even get to that stage? 3 of us heading to it, chances slim for tickets?

Got tickets today, might get to see a home debut for a new manager 😃

  3. How is this guy our captain? He shouldn’t even be starting, so so frustrating and a certain starter every game too.

This is on Gerrard and it is a terrible call.

Surely gets a start next game over watkins?

Want to see what he can do with buendia, coutinho and digne trying to supply him.

Yep I would give Ings a start in the next game as well, it’s a shame they don’t work well together but what can ya do, Buendia one of the first names on the team sheet now and Coutinho will only improve so one of them has to warm the bench for the foreseeable

  5. I thought the article was ok from Ashley.

Grealish has been plotting this move for about 3 years now in my opinion, the contract announcement last summer was a load of bollox and that’s what annoys me most. He got a massive pay rise and knew a big move would happen if he kept playing well so it was a win win for him, the idea of him leaving Villa as a legend is completely gone though.

i have no issue with the clause, villa have got a lot of money for him but this whole idea that he was committed to Villa was bullshit and I’d say he’s fairly sick at the reaction of the fans but there you go, he’s in for a fairly hostile reception November 30th.

    That all may be true.

The point I was responding to was:-

"what makes people Guilbert will be sold"

I just listed a few reasons why people might think he could be sold.

Whether it makes sense to you really doesn't come in to it.

Young is cover for LB and RB and is ahead if Guilbert in the pecking order.

sadly I think Freddy will leave but I would like to keep him, there’s a good player in there

Genuinely one of the only players I know that I’d spend 50/60m on.

If no other team comes in for him, we may have the smallest chance of signing him towards the end of the window.

Superb player and perfect for us.

Be great if it happened, would be an unbelievable signing if we pulled it off. Sadly no links to him in the media but again there were none for Ings too until he signed

  8. Double edge sword for me with Bruce and Villa at the minute.

I don’t want Bruce as manager anymore yet if we win games he stays yet I don’t want Villa to lose but if he loses he will hopefully get the sack.

Win or lose Bruce has to go but then you can’t really sack a manager that’s winning but I just want him gone.

I maybe the only person not excited by this signing. I think he’s a highly over rated player, he looks so awkward on the ball, gets tangled up in his own feet a lot, he has scored goals in the championship before I know but when I’ve watched him play a lot for Swansea he looked very poor. I’m not too exited by this signing but will be interested to see if he can prove me wrong.

Edit: PS I also believe we badly needed a decent defender or two more than a striker as we have plenty of options attacking wise.

    Would you stop ffs!!

Brilliant signing and will get a shit load of goals for us, great poacher this lad.

  10. Henry as our new manager is a very scary thought, have we really learned nothing from our past mistakes? I’ll back him if he’s appointed but I really hope it is not the case.

I land in Dublin airport @ 19:05 on Friday  So it'll be some slick manouvering to get to see this from the start (I'm not hanging around the airport all evening).

So what do we know about this Leeds side from a statistics point of view.

They're midtable when it comes to possession.  They're midtable in pass percentage.  They've the 5th worst discipline in the league (we're 2nd best).  They're midtable in tackles.  I'm trying to find something that they do an inordinate amount of times that makes them stand out in one area or another, and there really isn't anything.  They're pretty much mediocre in most category and less than that in the rest.  I suppose they've a good home defence although everyone in the top half bar Cardiff are within a goal or 2 of each other.  If we can play our game, have one of our 'on' days and avoid any silly mistakes to gift them an opener then I think we could win this one.

So far this season when we've scored 1st away from home we have a 100% record (Barnsley, Burton, Preston).  Let's keep that up.

There’s a Villa pub in the city you could watch it in, failing that a taxi into town would see you perched up somewhere within 25mins.

Heading over to this one, early flight to Leeds on Friday.

Think I would take a draw right if you gave it to me but a win would really open a gap on one of our rivals.

Good to keep this momentum going without Terry. The sooner he comes back the better.
