    I swear, you lot really are an extraordinary bunch. We've finally gotten in an owner who wants to rebuild our club and here some of you are moaning your backsides off. If something arises about the legitimacy of our owners its sure as heck not going to come from a fan writing to the Football League.

    If you truly believe Hollis didn't have bulletproof sources on our owners business background then you don't know what it takes to move up in the accounting world at a business like KPMG. He would't have sold us to a company without having done his research. His reputation is on the line here. He wouldn't just sell us to the highest bidder. He's done his homework. 

    We have some of the biggest doommongers on this forum. Enjoy the departure of Lerner and if this all goes tits up, it goes tits up. There is nothing you can do about it from behind your keyboard. Trust the owners until they fail us or give us tangible reasons to doubt them. 

    We need positivity on the field and off the field. That starts with supporting our owners, managers, and eventually the players bought to promote us back to the Premier League.

    The Rémi Garde thread

    After watching the full interview I can't help but think 2 things.

    1. Remi Garde is an honorable man. He takes responsibility for the results but doesn't hide the fact some players aren't 100% committed to fighting for the team. He restated several times that due to injuries there are players in the starting 11 simply because we don't have any one to replace the players. It's truly sad to hear this about our team and club. 

    2. He's not afraid to admit the club is in shambles, and the fans negative view of the backroom staff is not unfounded. He basically said the protests are warranted due to the recent history of our club and that although he believes walking out before the game is not good for the team, maybe they should find another way to protest. 

    Although I don't think we can reasonably judge his managerial qualities due to the situation he found him self when he came here, it does feel as if he is fighting for the fans. He seems to be on our side in thinking the club needs a complete overhaul. If he walks or is released in the summer, it will be a good indication of our clubs intentions. Will they support his idea that there needs to be a complete overhaul of the playing staff, or will they persist with this disastrous group of players and watch us fall even further down the leagues?

    Hello VT. 

     

    I have been a longtime lurker on this site, but have never had the motivation to join up and start posting. I am a 24 year old male from Nashville, TN, USA. I have been following the Villa since I was around 12, maybe 13 years old. One of my dad's friends was British and a huge Birmingham City supporter at that time. I took it upon myself to follow their huge rivals to piss off my dad's friend. Flash forward to the present day. I am now a huge Villa supporter. I have seen Villa play in the States multiple times, and have watched almost every game we have played for the past 6-7 years albeit through a stream or website. 

     

    Random Villa fact, I played college soccer at Birmingham Southern College (Alabama, USA) for a few years. The year after leaving the college, General Krulak took over as President of the school. I have never returned to the school, but would have given anything to give that man a piece of my mind.
