  1. In most professions, under-performers are summoned to their boss, written warnings are filed, reviews made and agreements put in place. The premier league footballer has his own way, it seems.

Reading the rumour of Garde's imminent sacking, the insider quoted a lack of morale.  None of this crap we watch each week should be about lack of morale.  We're not talking about a factory floor where motivation is key to productivity and staff retention - some of these feckless idiots get tens of thousands of pounds for working a 25 hour week.  They are supposedly doing something they love. Nowhere in the player's contracts will it state giving up is allowed at 2 - 0. Or if relegation looks likely.  Lack of morale is not an excuse to stop running, stop tracking back; you're getting paid handsomely to do a job: just do your job, or walk away.  I won't cut any professional player any slack.

I feel sorry for Garde.  Most of the time the manager takes the bullet, but for me, what we've seen this season rests with the players.  Bournemouth players are a great example of how doing your job properly wins you respect - and your Premier League status.

Bye-bye, Remi.  I hope our next manager is afforded the opportunity to pick a player worthy of their professional status. You need strength and fight in the Championship.,,

Wow .Hutton the Mutton. Watch him on that goal.

I might get some Flak for jumping on him, but it was another Westwood shit pass to Gil that started their breakaway.

That said, yup, Hutton can't be arsed today.

  3. This is not the kind of game for weak-ass twinkle-toe players. Jack and Gil aren't for these battles: they're brushed aside with the slightest physicality. Bacuna and Veretout have been strong enough and are doing okay. Kozak and Traore on immediately, please.

Why are we still playing him? He's at least as bad as Clark, and Clark at least has nearly in ten years in age on him, there's a chance, however slim at this point, that he might get a little bit better. There is absolutely no chance Lescott will improve, he only gets worse from here.

I'm going to keep saying it after every game he plays, until he suggests otherwise - he's the worst centre back I've ever seen at this football club.

Agree - Clark will at least have a good game in amongst his howlers, but Lescott is filling his coffers this year.

Best of the three midfielders today, deserves to start the next game. Even if he does only give "5/10 performances", it's better than the terrifying unpredictability of Gana and Sanchez.

Didn't think he was as good as that: Veretout was in my eyes more influential. Westwood found himself in some good advanced positions today, but he doesn't know what to do there. I'll maintain he'll influence in the lower leagues. Just not in this one.

  6. For me, one of the most important things that any new manager must do, is negotiate the hell of their deal and have a commitment from Randy to a sizable budget in January for a couple of real quality players. Start up front.
