Becoming very apparent that away fans are using it to get into games. I saw three blokes walking out of there before the game yesterday and you could just tell they were Arsenal.

I've not seen that and would also say that all hospitatlity areas have had that happen.

I actually dont see that much of a problem fans sitting next to each other. I've been going to rugnby for years with opposing fans sat next to me and there is always just good banter.

so it sounds like any berating of the terrace view fans was possibly driven by the state of the rest of the holte upper (not that i'm in any way condoning it). it needed a lick of paint and some toilets fixing anyway, but if the state of it has somehow gotten worse in addition to being much more crowded, it's bound to have left a sour taste in mouths.

sounds like it's going to be a hot topic of discussion at the next FCG anyway but i can see them scrapping the whole thing...the fan reaction is just going to be too strong to ignore. they'll just make all holte upper season tickets more expensive. it'll still piss people off, but everyone will have access to nicer facilities.

No chance them doing that. Terrace view will definitely stay.

  3. Just my two pence worth going today as a new season ticket holder with terrace view.

Walked in about an hour before KO and there were some ex players talking, one being Tommy Johnson who i used to love as a kid so the day started well!

Lounge facility i thought was really good. Quick to get drinks, somewhere to sit and everyone seemed to agree that it was a nice place to be.

I have seats in K4 right at the back but i really loved it up there. Atmosphere was brilliant and was just what i was hoping it would be. I've sat all over the ground previously and always loved the upper holte the most.

At half time it was very quick to get a drink and use the loo and was nice to have a sit down and have a chat with other villa fans in the area.

We also went in after the game and there were still quite a number of people in there after the game and the general consensus was good.

Yes the result helped but i'm looking forward to the next game already!!

I believe the lounge is on the first concourse level which is the same level as the turnstiles of the Upper Holte reached by the external stairs at the back of the stand. To get to your seat, you'll need to go up steps from the first concourse level to the second concourse level, up steps to the seating area (at around Row 12 level) and then up steps to your correct row (the very back is around row 35).

Whats the view like at the very back of the holte?

Is that for an individual ticket, or are you one of a couple or small group?

I'd imagine they'd try to put you in the better available areas, so if you're on your own, Row 35 probably doesn't bode well for other Terrace View ticket holders that are in pairs or threes.

I have bought 2 of these so we are sat next to each other. I'd of still liked to be a little lower. Although i'm not sure where the lounge is in relation to the seating?

Hi mate. I was in the exact same boat. Went to every home game last season bar Leeds (it was a Friday and I was working) sitting all over the ground. Holte Upper was always 10/10 every time so took the option for this ticket when it was offered to me.

Have you had your Season Card yet? Your seats allocated? I haven't yet unfortunately. The information and communication from the club has been abysmal and I can't purchase any Conference League seats unless it's a Terrace View package either... I've been in contact and they're looking to resolve it this week. Seems there were a lot of things they didn't prepare for in the lead up to selling these off.

Think it works out to £82 per game and included is 2 x drinks per game + programme per game too so it's not as extortionate as it's made out to be especially if you're adding in the beers.

Nope haven't had anything as of Friday and i'm on holiday now until Saturday so lets hope they're on the matt when we get back!!

Communication has been abysmal just like you say. Its been woeful from start to finish. I have been on to my member profile and all the games show up now. According to that i'm in K4 row 35 which is right at the back which isn't ideal as i'd like to have been a bit lower. Although i'm not sure if they are permanent seats.

I think the upper holte season ticket is cheap anyway as do my mates who go regular to other clubs around the country. Look at prices for other clubs and £40 odd quid a game is near non existent at a top club

I'm not sure if we can choose other areas of the ground with our season cards as i think we're now classed as hospitality season holders now?

  7. I've bought two of these season tickets. It was exactly what i was looking to buy. i'm not too bothered about it being hospitality but being in the upper holte was a priority for me.

I've been to hospitality a number of times in the past and i've always looked and listened enviably to the holte end as that is where all the noise and atmosphere comes from. I've sat there a couple of times last season and there is nowhere else in the ground i'd like to be.

It will also be nice being able to go to the loo, get a drink and something to eat without waiting an age and having the toilet full of smokers!

Yes it was a bit expensive but after talking to some mates who support other clubs they thought it wasn't that bad. £87 a game for a guaranteed ticket to every game with a lounge area before during and after and some drinks thrown in. One of them said it was a bargain but he is a spurs fan. Just for reference the other two were an arsenal fan and a manc.

After a brief hiatus I decided to apply for season tickets, still attend home games, buying tickets for the Trinity Road End, wherever possible, due to its facilities.

When the opportunity arose to purchase Holten End Terrace Season Tickets, I reviewed my finances I made an informed decision to purchase.

    Rationale

    ·         Villa Supporter.

    ·         Total belief in Unai Emery and the project.

    ·         No drama in buying home game tickets.

    ·         Within my means and affordable way to join hospitality.

    ·         Toilet /Bar waiting times.

    ·         Direct contact with an account manager.

    ·         Networking.

    Bonus

    ·         New facilities.

    ·         Away game fixtures hopefully.

    ·         Extended opening closing times.

    ·         2x Free drinks.

    ·         Programme

    ·         Lanyard.

I'm in exactly this position. See you on the 20th!!

I'd hope that's 10% of the allocation of hospitality tickets, not 10% of the overall allocation.

If it's 10% of the hospitality allocation, it's about 6 tickets and you're being led down the garden path by a salesperson.

If it's 10% of the overall allocation, then you're pushing to the head of the tightest queue in football and I can't imagine those at the head of the away merit allocations would take well to it!

I don't think it is. it certainly sounded like 10% of overall tickets as i made a point to say that i was really interested in away tickets.

  10. I spoke with them earlier. 10% allocation of overall away tickets will be allocated to the terrace view in a ballot just for terrace view i was told. I went to buy 2 tickets but was told i couldn't as my wife wasn't on the season ticket wait list which is frankly ridiculous!

Waiting for them to get back to me about it

  11. An article in the mail saying we could be sold within the month. No quotes by anyone of any importance though!

    http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/aston-villa-takeover-could-month-7508514

Stockbroker says negotiations over a sale were likely to last at least three months - with intense activity behind the scenes

A new owner of Aston Villa could emerge ‘within a month’ following a close season of intense behind the scenes negotiations with potential buyers, it was claimed today.

Stockbroker Peter Knowles poured scorn on fears that Randy Lerner’s attempts to sell Villa had been thwarted by the reported price tag of £200m to £250 million.

He said any negotiations over a sale were likely to last at least three months – with professional advisers and legal experts carrying out due diligence checks on prospective owners.

And Mr Knowles said the Villa sale was certain to be undertaken in a highly professional manner – unlike the “off the back of a fag packet” style of jailed Blues owner Carson Yeung.

“I would have thought that something could happen in the next month if there are serious people out there. Villa are a Premier League club, they receive Sky money and they are not heavily geared like Manchester United.

“If people have shown interest then they will have signed memoranda of understanding and Randy Lerner’s advisers Merrill Lynch will have been checking to see if they have got the money. People want to own a football club and they think they have got a lot of money but often they have not.

“I do not think I would be concerned by the price. In any case, these people often do not pay with their own money – they borrow and it is all geared.

“If somebody turns around and says ‘I will pay you this’ for a club, the process would be at least three months. The advisers will want to make half a million out of it.

“Randy Lerner will want his advisers to do things the right way rather than, say, Carson Yeung, off the back of a fag packet. Something is going on in the background – I am sure there are people out there who want to buy Villa.”

Lerner, who bought the club from Doug Ellis for £62.6 million in 2006, has said he wants it to go to a “good custodian” and in May appointed Bank of America Merrill Lynch to conduct the sale.

  12. Norwich fans are gutted to be losing him. Yes he's not going to trouble any of the current top 8 squads but hello we are not close to being a top 8 club at the moment. Yes he's the wrong side of 30 but if he's cheap enough tab what's to lose. We have no one that is as good as him. We are desperate for this kind of player.

Defour is a deep lying midfielder. Would improve us yes but not a number 10

  13. I don't think ticket and shirt sales really matter in the scheme of things. We make more on the sponsors of the shirt and fee for making it.

Ticket sales obviously increase revenue but tv revenue far outweigh that.

Staying in this league is the single most important thing for the finances of this club
