  1. Morning lads.

I'll keep this short as im still hammered and can hardly see the keyboard let alone the letters. No idea where the rubbish about Hughtons come from certainly not up here, carrolls a horrible man but in my opinion hes the best English centre forward in the country on current form.

  2. Definitely take Beye back think I may have mentioned it yesterday. He didn’t put a foot wrong for us despite playing in a shakey at best back line. Had the animal that is Cattermole not put him out for the last 3 months of the season i'm in no doubt we wouldn’t have went down in the first place. Remember him keeping Ronaldo in his back pocket when we drew at Old Trafford and was equally as brilliant in our 0-0 draw away to Chelsea in the relegation season. Very surprised it didn’t work out for him at Villa.

I was over the moon with the money we got for Milner as he lacked any sort of end product at Newcastle I know when you took him on loan he was brilliant for you but even when he came back he was half the player for us. Obviously just never settled in Newcastle or needed a new challenge. Having said that Keegan rated him and as it turns out the sale of Jimmy was the reason he left and again had King Kev stopped I believe we'd have finished mid-table that season.

  3. You could be right but I've seen quite a bit of Celtic this year (little bit of a passing interest in that my next door neigbours a season ticket holder up there and i've been to the odd game with him). I'd take a chance on Robbie Keane he still knows where the goal is and no doubt a better option than Shola as for Leon Best the least said about him the better.

I like Carlton Cole mind, think he'll come good the next season or so.

  4. Fully agree with you. I was talking in terms of survival (and hopefully finishing above the mackems who have really irritated me in the last year or so) . Enrique is without a shadow of a doubt our best player by an absolute street and he missed a fair bit of the relegation season through injury so no blame can be attached there. Hes possibly the only player who could potentially shine in the premier league for us assuming Joey Barton never regains the form he once showed at Man City.

Not a massive fan of Carroll and as you say he should be in jail i've heard the full story from the best mate of the lad he hit with the glass. Hence why i'd look at Carlton Cole should Roast Ham go down.

After that i'd be looking at the likes of Robbie Keane who you'd imagine will be available in the summer.

    Anyway roll on next season.

  5. Got to be primed for a buy out if nothing else Ashleys wiped off millions of pounds worth of debt and also wiped millions off the pay roll. If he was looking for a quick sale there cant be many better options for anyone looking to invest in a premier league football club. The potentials massive when you look at fan base etc - Everythings in place.

As for costing 50 million to stay competitive i disagree i think the likes of coloccini will hold his own this year, hes been brilliant in the first division basically just far too good. He was too weak in the premier league the last time but as with a lot of foreigners perhaps just needed a season or so to settle in we'll see how he does in the world cup in the summer.

Jose Enrique is another who will more than hold his own and very surprised we managed to keep hold of him all season plus the likes of Gutierrez who could be another who didn’t quite settle into the English game straight away but more than happy to go with him next season.

Bring in the likes of Bullard, Habib Beye, plus a scott parker type midfielder and a decent centre forward and bar stupid amounts of injuries we'll be ok.

  6. Reading between the lines I think your all secretly delighted to have us back.

What do you think Ashley will do now WMNG?

Hes got a massive personal investment in the club and although i don’t think he cares less what happens to us I cant see him making the same mistake twice. When we went down it cost him near 50 million of his own money on top of that he had to fork out millions in players wages without the help of sky money etc just to keep us going.

Don’t think Ashleys stupid enough to risk that again , imagine he'll look to strengthen the squad with an aim of comfortably stopping in the division without really looking to ever challenge the top 10 sides in the hope that a buyer comes in for us in the next year or so.

  7. As far as i'm concerned the only team to send us down that day was the side playing in black and white (or whatever colour we turned out in that day). 5 mins to go and half of them were just walking round the park waiting for the final whistle. I'll be interested to see how much money we're looking to spend in the summer.

  8. Where's Where's my Nobby Gone gone? Is perhaps the oddest sentence I've ever written. But also grammatically correct I believe... I think he's the only one of their fans I feel sorry for.

Still milling around every now and then . I've heard we'll be in administration by Wednesday no doubt the useless ****s up there will announce it on the day of Bobbys funeral. The tinniest modicum of respect our club had left died today it really is absolutely heart breaking and to think only two current Newcastle players were present at his match the other night just about sums it up.

I watched us play Leeds in front of about 7000 Newcastle fans on Wednesday night (majority of which were bairns) and what an absolute joke it was, you could tell 80% of the squad want away no doubt we'll lose five or six players an hour or so before the transfer window closes and not replace them.

  9. They rate him highly down there , he played right back against Arsenal and in the middle of the park against Man Utd. He was Boltons man of the match against Man Utd said he was absolutely shattered after chasing Ronaldo and co for 80 mins only to look across to see Giggs and Scholes coming on. Man Utd won 1-0 through a 90min goal. Hope he does well hes a cracking kid.

  10. No its Chris Basham of Bolton. Made his debut against Arsenal and played his second game against Man Utd where he give Ronaldo a good kicking. Hes a good friend of mine we grew up together, been mates for years he got released by Newcastle when he was 15 for being too small. Hes now 6'3 and starting for Bolton - Got me and a mate into the players lounge at Bolton the other week which was superb. Although I dont think Mike Ashley approved when i asked him about the contingency plan.

  11. It's like 1995 all over again. If I close my eyes I can visualise (extra points for using Pulp lyrics) the cover of NME featuring Liam and Damon in a boxing ring - it's enough to bring a tear to my eye.

Anyway, Blur by a country mile.

or country house if you prefer.

  12. Mr.Bowyer is a good footballer, but has something fundamentally wrong with his head.

Cant believe he didnt get the sack. Imagine any other jobs, if you started punching your co-workers, you would get the sack.

    A boxer?

  13. I hope he stays it newcastle hes kept his head down since he signed barring last weekend and gets better every week. You heard the reception he got last night.

  14. We could have a few all premiership clashes including

    savage against mellburg

    shearer against roy keane

Nicky Butt v David Batty (back from retirement)

    Bellamy v souness

andy cole + dwight yorke vs souness

    Diouf vs celtic fan

andy cole vs (who ever he wacked this season)...still the best fight so far.
