The guy is a technical genius and will be up there with Merson in terms of quality/magic that we've seen at VP.

Yes he's 34 but pace was never even an issue with him, he literally strolls around!

Benteke is the best Villa striker i've seen since Yorke. And i do consider him a bit of a legend already. However, players come and go and that's football

 

You move on. I still love Yorke and can't believe anyone would say they hate him. What ever for ?

I grew up watching Yorke and loved him (still do a little) but he definitely soured it by the way he forced himself out of the club, then signed for SH and didn't he then say something like they were the bigger club?

It's getting to the point where I'd be happy if we got £25m for him.

 

Why? There's two simple scenarios to this...

a) a club offers 32.5m and presumably is a 'larger' club then us who will offer more wages and he will accept.

no club offers to buy out his clause so he remains a Villa player for the next 6 months either on his current deal or a new one.

Either way we don't need to be offering cut price deals to get rid of him. He wanted to leave two years ago and that didn't hamper his run of goals at the end of this season.

Why he dont wanna stay he would not face us neither wed get a big bucket of money and can draw a line under the matter. I personally dont want him to stay if he dosnt want to be here. The money will come in handy and we can go forward. Aslong as villa have benteke in side we cant go forward because he dosnt want to stay.

 

Yes, we'd all love players who 'want to play for the club' but the reality is that rarely exists. Benteke will play as well for us if he stays, as he would any other club as he is a professional athlete and that is his job.

No-Its not the brightest idea to include the opposition. Its not the first time though. Many people found the "Aston Villa-Canary Killer" flag against Norwich in the '75 final hilarious.

 

Its a flag that will surf prior to kick off-I doubt anyone will over analyse the wording. I hope that its not true that the flag will then be surfed at the North Stand next season. To include Arsenal in the title pretty much narrows it down to one game. I would hope another collection could be made for a more suitable flag for next season. £2000 raised in less than 24 hours suggests that another £2000 could be raised between now and next seasons big kick off.

The idea would be to cut it down to just the 'Aston Villa' part. 

I think it's a great idea, fan-driven and not club sponsored and something that will show the world exactly what us Villa fans are all about!

Leave Cincinnati Thurs 4pm - 5hrs in Detroit then arrive Friday 11am... Return Sunday 1pm to Seattle - arrive for an 8hour layover before catching an 11pm flight to Cinci arriving at 6.30am Mon morning.

EVERY SINGLE SECOND WILL BE WORTH IT!

Remember the dark days of being on the terrace at Doncaster one midweek getting trounced and screaming at DOL. Moments like that will be made up by winning the cup!

I got the home FA Cup shirt as don't have this year's yet. I wanted the pendant but had sold out!

 

With a little one I find it hard to get to many games and have only made it to 4 this season. Used to regularly attend 10-14+ 

 

I am ashamed to say but I have managed to secure a ticket through the corporate machine where I work. Have to take a couple of clients so cant go mad on the beer but I am on cloud 9 right now. 

 

Mate you shouldn't be ashamed, you're going to the FA Cup final. If I was in your position I would do the same. Not sure how good I would be watching it with clients though, I normally go mental when Villa are playing!

Not me but I've a few irons in the fire, mainly a guy who works for UTV Ireland, a head of an Arsenals supporters club, my mom knows John Delaney fairly well & my girlfriends best friend is in some firm in London who have concerts in Wembley but nothing looking good at the moment.

 

Love it - I've got a mate who's asking a mate, someone who knows someone who works for the Premier League and I'm long shotting a guy at the FA I know a little.

My last minute plan if nothing comes up will be to wander Wembley Way and the pubs looking for spares/touts etc. 

Does anyone have any comparative pricing for Club Wembley seats from the semi or other events?
