Why do we constantly persist with Downing on the right and Albrighton on the left?
-
We haven't looked too bad this half, and the scoreline is a little harsh. Makoun has looked quality, and has been all over the park, always looking for the forward pass as well.
-
Is this match on tv?.
Sky are showing the massive West Brom vs Wigan game on Tuesday, and ESPN haven't got anything until Saturday. So doesn't look like it.
-
I'm going for 1-1 in this one. Gabby should start because we know what he does to Vidic everytime he comes up against him. I'd also start with Albrighton as he ran rings around Evra at Villa Park.
-
I reckon we'll get the scum again!
-
I can't believe I've had to work today, thus preventing me heading down to villa park today. It sounds like a cracking match to miss.
-
We always do these in the cups yet come unstuck in the league. So I'm going for a nice win to keep the momentum going leading into the United game.

but that idiot with the drum??
That bloke with the drum is annoying to say the least. I'm sure it was last seasons trip up there that had a big artical about him in their program. I suppose he's the most exciting thing happening at the DW stadium for wigan fans.

I thought he was decent last night, not brilliant, but no where near as terrible as some people seem to make out. For a guy who has had one training session with the team around him I thought he did well. There were glimpes of what he'll offer us in the future, and once he's settled he'll be a real asset to the team. I really think he'll grow with every game he plays.
I seem to remember Yaya Toure looking pretty off the pace in his first few games at Man City. Lets give JM2 the time to settle and he'll be great for us.
-
A win in this game will be massive, and we have to capitalise on the Man City result. If we fail to get the points on Tuesday, the City result will be meaningless. If we can win this game, we'll really start to pull away from the bottom 3, and surely confidence must be up from last nights result.
Looking forward to making the trip to the DW again.

It says you can buy them on the gate from 6pm on Tuesday

There were two carlos tevez chants doing the rounds:
Got bit by a shark
Got bit by a shark
Carlos Tevez
Got bit by a shark
and
He looks like Steve Bruce
He looks like Steve Bruce
Carlos Tevez
He Looks like Steve Bruce

Why bother doing anything to him? Can't we just get a good atmosphere going and cheer on Darren Bent?
If we look like we are going to win then we can start the Milner chants.
I'd much sooner create a fantastic atmosphere to welcome Darren Bent than concentrate on former players. Darren Bent is our future, James Milner and Gareth Barry are our past.
-
I'll just ignore him. Difficult to have much reaction to a player who'll be sat down for the majority of the 90 minutes.
-
Am I the only one loving that we will sign Bent on the same day that £700k Kenny Miller rejects the noses?!
Quite brilliant isn't it?
-
To be honest would rather sign Louis Swarez from Ajax for that $$$$
Suárez has a fantastic record in Holland. However, so did Alfonso Alves. Bent is proven at this level
-
Hope we can get the balloon aswell, they have a pretty good chemistry.
made me laugh
-
I did think that the prices being thrown around were too much for Bent, but factoring in whats already been mentioned that only Rooney and Drogba have scored more goals in the last 5 years, and the cost of this transfer against the cost of relegation, I think this is a great deal. Think how much you'd have to pay to land Rooney or Drogba in a January transfer window.
Bent will get us goals, he has done through out his career, at all levels. He's only 26 now, so still has his best years ahead of him. Completely buzzing right now, hope all is plain sailing now, and the deal gets done quickly.
Adam's next?
-
I thought going forward Walker looked great, had a few dodgy moments at the back, but still, his hard work down the right helped set up our goal.
-
If we had a really clinical striker, we'd have done that lot comfortably. Happy with the draw to be honest.
-
We scored just as I opened my first can of Guinness. Pure genius
Can you open a second one please?
-
COME ON! Keep pressing, don't let this inbred scum get anything out of this game.
-
Thank god Carew is going off

"Your getting sacked in the morning"
The problem is, he wont be.

Makoun is going to be a real asset to the team, he really has impressed and it was great that he got 90 minutes against united. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of him on the pitch, and more importantly more of those jumpers.
