If Marseille bought him for 13 million Euros and rate him highly it would have to be a big money signing from us which I don't think is likely to happen at this point in time, especially in the upcoming window.

One of the only ways we could afford him is if Benteke somehow leaves and we generate enough funds to do so. Or maybe Lambert has been saving some of the transfer kitty, he hasn't really dished out on a player yet. Would Thauvin break the wage structure at our club? Does anyone have an idea of how much a player like this would cost us a week?

I think gabby would be quite impressive in a better team even though he is slightly inconsistent and frustrating to watch at times. He has pace and big goals in him and has shown that he can play multiple roles on the field. That being said, we are growing slowly as a team and I hope that he can help us get to the top. Who knows in football, maybe he will get his moment and become a legend.

Also though he may not be worth 10 million, I do believe he would be a steal at 3-5 million.

I do have faith in kozak and I think that he will become a good player for us. From what I have seen so far, I believe that he was bought to be developed into more of a poacher like player. He has good positioning, a physical presence and can put the ball in the net. His Europa goals indicates this because at that level, it's about being in the right spot at the right time and getting that important goal. I know it wasn't the most flashy goal but the Norwich goal got us 3 points and the goal against Cardiff was a pretty good bit of finishing that killed off the game. Hopefully he can build on this. I also think that kozak and Benteke can make an effective partnership. Benteke would be able to create goals out of nothin and get more involved in the play, while kozak would be able to capitalise on the goals from direct service. If Benteke gets 20+ goals and kozak gets around 12-15 I would consider that a good bit of progress and worth the money.

Luna was one of the few players I saw trying to push the ball forward and make something happen in the later period of the second half. Can't deny that he tries his best every time he walks on to the pitch. 

What about a true captain who leads his troops on the pitch? I think captains can have a great impact in the game and play an important role in the locker room.

I have always thought that when there is a penalty, the player who gets fouled receives an assist (assuming he isn't the one who scores the penalty as well).

Hmm, maybe one or at the most two teams are middle to bottom League 1 standard. I have watched quite a bit of A-League and I would say that the standard would be close to that of 2nd division Greece. 

Arsenal have already signed Sanogo and the Higuain deal is close to completion, so I can't see the Benteke rumours being true. They would have to up the price anyway!

Lambert probably kept an eye on Hutton while he was at Mallorca and discovered something in Luna (they were loaned during the same period yeah?)  

I would like to think that people learn off their mistakes. Is it possible that Lerner, as he gets older, will gain the knowledge and ability to run the club more effectively?

If what you say is true Trent, that people rarely go from having bad judgement to good judgement, maybe he has opened his ears to people like Lambert who do have a proper idea of running a club. I remember reading somewhere that Lambert and Lerner do have a good mutual understanding, it could be that Lerner truly believes in his philosophy.

Exactly why are Swansea interested in Bannan? Hope I am not missing something? I've seen in a number of games that Swansea play a fast game and work hard to move the ball around, I just don't think he has done enough to warrant a move to a club that has had quite a successful season.

I reckon if Lambert is looking for players with hunger and passion, he should maybe take a look at Papadopoulos from Schalke. Might be a bit out of the price range, but he would definitely toughen up our defence for many years to come.
