Warsaw, bring it on!
true story…I met my best friend’s wife for the first time. She asked where I was from. I said Walsall originally. She was amazed and said I didn’t sound Polish

And for a laugh, look at these match ratings, which had Carlos as worst player 4/10

Thankfully I’m on holiday in Donegal and very drunk. I have every confidence that the leprechauns I’ve just seen in black and white shirts were not actually real and that I’m about to wake up safe and sound at the end of a rainbow

Will add some height and power to the team….is he any good at set pieces? Either taking them or getting on the end of them?
More importantly…can he take a penalty…

Have to be the same two blokes I heard on the train back to Stourbridge after a match last season.
Debating in all seriousness how much money to spend on Ivan Toney.
The fact that he might have better options than a relegation battle in Dingle land was completely lost on them!
You’d have thought they’d know that Toney doesn’t have a Portuguese passport???

He was a couple of years ago, but in today's crazy prices he'd be between £60-£80 million at least. Look at what Brighton want for Calceido, who is nowhere near as good. £40 million isn't enough for Ward-Prowse apparently. It's what McTominay and Fred are valued at. Our current squad is worth a fortune in today's market.
Agreed that our squad is now worth massive wonga in today’s market. Just annoying that the moment one of ours is out of the team he seems to be worth nothing, whilst plop and co seem to get multi millions for their reserves. Davis is a case in point. And I expect we’ll see the same if we try and sell donk…

Due to this FFP thing, a lot of clubs are doing this. Burnley paid £20 mil for James Trafford at city, as he is a youth team product its pure profit. over the life of a 5 year contract, 20 x 5 = 100 mil, enabled them to get gvardiol in. A lot of their fans would be happy with that, I think with us we have not experienced this type of thing happening at villa before and because we have an affinity with one of our own its tough to take, but due to the FFP thing its gonna happen more and more. Might even happen to archer, I hope not, but Monchi and FFP means we will have to face this with other prospects
£100 mill, that can’t be right surely? Length of contract means nothing to the selling club. So it would just be 20 mill profit when paid…or if the fee was paid over five years, it would be 4 mill profit each year…

Buy Ferran Torres, RB, backup GK and then sell some deadwood and it will be a 10/10 window
Might be wrong but don’t think there will be a right back. Reckon it’s going to be three centre halves with one as a tucked in right back not bombing forward. If Moreno is injured, play one centre half as a tucked in left back and let cash loose on the right….so Moreno and cash effectively fighting for one place…

When was juventus suspension confirmed?

I thought the 50% sell on clause was just 50% on profit (I.e just 50% above 17 mill). If that’s the case it would make selling far more viable.

As it really should be.
Heck - business/operationsLange - scouting/data
Monchi - identify, negotiate, sign
Unai - final call on players, execute on the pitch
That’s a bit harsh…unless we have significant insurance

Yeah I rate him highly. I’d go as far as to say he’s head and shoulders above him

Who was the last player Tottenham signed from Villa? Danny Blanchflower in the 50s??? I know Brad Friedel went on a free to Tottenham but I can't remember a direct transfer to Spurs from Villa, especially in modern times.
Steve Hodge I believe made that dirty move

That one of our players who’s only good enough to play reserve football currently, was one of the best right backs in Ligue 1 last season. Should tell you all you need to know about the quality of the league.
Or the pure incompetence and bloody mindedness of gerrard not to even try him, especially considering the injuries. A better option than konsa at right back for sure
