  1. Look at Warnocks reaction to Morisons goal and you will know who's at fault....the Ireland haters on here are pathetic, clutching at straws blaming the kid for everything and nothing, dreadful.

Its also annoying how Hutton gets blamed for being out of position, or for those he didnt see it assume he was out of position. Yes he had gone forward but he didnt lose the ball the guy was clearly fouled.

Also sometimes when the game gets open like that at the end and players are tired space will open up and whilst maybe Warnock could have done better the ball put in was a very good one and hard to defend. People are always looking for someone to blame.

Yes it was a good ball but Warnock has no idea where Morison is because he's only concentrating on Pilkington crossing the ball and looses him. Starting at 1:14 you can see him checking back and seeing Morison but then doesnt follow him but only the ball, schoolboy error that is. It's also not the first one we've conceded with a cross to the back post, Warnock is awful at it.

  3. Given 6 - could do nothing about the goals

Warnock 4 - Poor passing, poor crossing and missed marking on Norwich second

Dunne 7 - Kept Grant Holt in his pocket

Collins 6 - Better but still not good

Hutton 5 - Wasteful going forward and stupid freekick for Norwich first goal

NZogbia 5 - Good start but faded badly. Predictable and holds on to the ball far too much

Herd 8 - Some great defensive work, promising

Petrov 7 - Much better when he doesnt have that defensive role, injured

Heskey 5 - Started pretty well but faded also and shouldnt be playing.

Gabby 9 - Goal and two assists. Brilliant but 5 yellows already? Suspended now

Bent 7 - Two goals served on a plate by Gabby. Missed a great chance yearly on

    Subs:

Jenas 7 - Did well, some good passes and will be usefull.

Ireland 6 - Wasnt involved much but was in great positions twice on counters only not to even receive the ball.

    Extremely important win!

  4. Give me Mick McCarthy over that Scottish Ginger Nose Tw@t every day of every week!!

McCarthy is tactically astute. What he has done on a very limited budget at wolves is sensational. He likes to play it on the deck and get it wide.

McLeish should have never been given the chance to manage Aston Villa. His football is nothing short of Dirge!!......................Oh and most importantly of all he's an ex scumbag. Now some of you may be able to see past that.....I never will!!!!

What limited budget? Hes spent over £20M NET since 2009, thats not limited.

  5. Cabaye looks decent but i'll take gabby over him any day.

Although I don't think Mcleish is great I'm still enjoying this season more than last and i'll still happily take Mcleish over houllier.

Why are you comparing a central midfielder with a winger/forward?

  6. Martinez - such a great manager Wigan are bottom of the table

Thats incredibly unfair on him. He's done a great job keeping them up for two straight seasons with that shitty squad. They have no money, sell their best players and this season have no forward line. They play decent football but cant score, yesterday it was 73-27 in possesion vs fulham before dempsey scored on a counter. Considering theyve sold NZogbia, Palacios, Valencia and Cattermole in recent years, they've done well. If he keeps them up again, hes up for the medal of honour.......

  7. I think this blind faith in Herd is quite idiotic.

None of you can actually see what happened on those replays, quite frankly because they are of poor quality, out of focus and with obstacles in the way.

If he stamped out on him, even without hitting at all, it is a red card and the linesman was in order when waving his flag. Saying it is the most stupid decision ever, when you have not seen the incident at all like the linesman supposedly did, well that just remind me of Liverpool fans who cannot see the truth for what it is.

After viewing it several times, it can look like Herd kicks back at Olsson but does not strike him. That is probably why he does not make a meal out of it the Swede, since the ball is in action and coming back their way. The red card is of course in order, if that was the scenario, but the penalty is a mystery to me. Isn't this the sort of thing that should be given a red for unsportsmanlike conduct and then a drop in the middle of the pitch?

What a bunch of crap. Seeing the incident like the assistant ref did? How could he have seen anything at all when Olssons body was obstructing his view? I saw several replays, no obstacles and zoomed in and there is NOTHING that indicates Herd stamping on Olsson. From what ive seen, and 99% pf everyone else so it seems, Olsson is holding on to Herds leg when on the ground and Herd is just trying to get away, there is no stamping or even anything close to it. He's simply just pulling his foot away, and believe me, if Olsson was stamped on he wouldv'e raged like the lunatic that he is, no doubt.

  8. But I don't understand why he continues with Bannan. Local derbys are usually war zones so I would have picked a physical side, Heskey instead of Bannan.

    te

Bannan was our best player against Blues in the C.Cup Quarter Final last year

Bannan played well as long as we had Petrov and Herd mopping up. When Herd was sent off, Bannan shouldve been subbed as he cant play as a central midfielder who needs to defend aswell, hes too lightweight for that. The kind of free role suits him much better.

  9. I actually thought quite highly of Hodgson before todays match but after reading his post match comments, the old man is deluded.

"If ever I've seen a challenge that merited a red card, it was Hutton on Long."

"The referee made what I assume he felt was the correct decision regarding Herd because he was in a good position to see it. I didn't see it at the time.

"I've seen it on TV. The guy left his foot on Olsson. What is there to say? Do you want him to apologise for leaving his leg there to be stamped on?"

    What a tool

  10. I have been to 5 homes games this season and seen us beat Blackburn and Wigan (2 teams favourite for the drop), draw with shitty Wolves, draw with Shitty Newcastle and lose to Shitty West Brom.

McLeish really fills me with optimism for the season!

How can you call a team thats unbeaten and in fourth place after 9 matches, shit?

    by watching the play.

Ive watched most of Newcastles games this season, far from shit tbh.

We were unbeaten until last week and do you really think Newcastle are a good team? If you do then you have a low threshold of satisfaction.

No, i think they have a decent first eleven and a mid table team, that is in no way shit. You are deluded. If they are shit, what the hell are Wigan and Blackburn for example?! And they were clearly better than us at VP, how extremely shit are Villa then? Get a grip

Villa under McLeish are extremely shit. Finally you have grasped the reality you muppet.

So according to you, roughly half of the Premier League (which is supposed to be the strongest league in the world) are shit or worse? Lobotomy anyone?

  14. can anyone actually confirm if it was a **** stamp, even replays are completely inconclusive?

There was no stamp. Olsson falls over, trying to win a penalty. He grabs a hold of Herds foot and Herd tries to get away, im guessing the way his leg moves the assistant mustve thought it was a stamp. but how he can make that decision when Olsson is blocking his view, no one knows. A disgrace!
