Didn't quite know where to post this. Some lovely drone footage of the stadium.

Fantastic footballer with the ball at his feet and great movement, as good as any in the squad. Also a really stable character. He's not quite there though when it comes to end product passing and shooting (anything further than 10 yards away from him). That will develop with a bit of coaching.
He'd be awesome at 5-a-side!

Was digging around the internet and found this 2014 mock up:
https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model/4e05a6c27f706e74c3edfd0fc64d8d90/Villa-Park-Expansion
The write-up states:
'Starting point was DizzyHarsh's Villa Park model. Demolished the North Stand and based the floor plan of the new stand on the current Trinity Road Stand. Both corners are in-filled also - should take the overall capacity to around the 50,000 mark as well as adding additional executive suites between the upper and lower tiers and in the corners'
The corners look...quite odd here. And you can see how things are hemmed in by Witton Lane. Having said that, it's nice to play around with visualisations like this.
It's quite a dramatic difference when looking from the inside. Would be a great improvement.

Hearing he’s out for Saturday

The biggest annoyance form yesterday isn’t about his ability. It’s the way he reacted to being replaced.
How many times do you see bonded teams making tactical subs and the players sprint off, high five and give each other encouragement for the good of the team? Support your manager’s decision & give a 17 year old debutant your blessing. Hourihane did not react this way.
Unfortunaltely this is not the only indicator that our squad has serious issues getting along with one another.
The same thing happened when we got relegated.

You're a Villa fan.
You're duty bound to write him off as shit before he's met his new teammates.
Sure he already knows Tammy pretty well?

Man Utd fans say he can play CB and DM but not as a full back.
Echo this. Talking to a rags fan today they see him as CDM.

Last time Thor played there from memory we almost got overrun at home by Burton. He's a rubbish CDM. Haven't lost last 9 times Whelan has started
It's true, Whelan is our best option in this area and reading the Stoke forums they would have him back in their starting line up tomorrow. There's no doubt Bjarnason is a talented player but Whelan offers more stability and experience (albeit without the legs). Jedi can be the difference when the game is physical but Whelan is the more intelligent footballer.

I think the modern day DM needs to do more than just block and tackle though
You see modern DMs at other clubs with pace whilst they are comfortable to carry it onto the opposition half and release the wingers, or even just turn into a bit of space. This is where Whelan is limited. Against teams like Hull I guess its not needed, but Whelan is very limited DM
Whats annoys me about Whelan is when he heads the ball, he never tries to cushion it to a team mate, I noticed it last season - Jed always picks out a man near by or chest controls it but Whelan just heads it as far as he can when under no pressure whatsoever
Fair play to him though, he had a decent game the other night
Completely agree with this, although the system doesn't always help. I'm sure with a more dynamic midfield ahead of him he's capable. We would do well with more support around the first ball at the moment.

Best home kit of my lifetime.
Going to be a collector's item in a few years, not least because we'll be promoted in them.
Indeed... One for wearing and one kept "new in packaging" to give the grand kids in 35 years.

Does anyone understand how FFP works with academy graduates?
As far as I have heard there is a calculation used for player signings vs contract length to determine the value of a player in accounting terms. (Transfer fee / Years left on contract)
How does this apply to academy graduates, that had no transfer fee, converted into FFP value?
Or have I got this completely wrong?

Surely based on previous performance this has to be the front 5 against Blackburn.
22 Guzan
03 Warnock
05 Dunne
06 Collins
21 Clark
24 Cuellar
07 Ireland
10 N'Zogbia
12 Albrighton
19 Petrov
11 Agbonlahor
Our last decent performance at Chelsea proved it works.
Throw in Hutton for Dunne, Gardner for Clark and I'd be happy with that.

Why cant anyone seem to manage to sing holte enders in the sky properly???
If you know what i mean then im sure you are as annoyed as me.
If you dont, check out "Johnny Cash - Ghost riders in the sky"
And replace his lyrics for these:
"As I walked down to Villa Park one dark and dusty day,
I spied a poor old City fan running far away,
I said to that poor City fan, it looks like you must die
Cos you have seen the glory of ...
Holte Enders in the sky
Yippeeeiiiooo, yippeeeiiiaaa
Holte Enders in the sky
We chased him through the terraces, we chased him down the streets,
But little did that City fan know that death must be his fate,
'Cuz Villa fans rule Birmingham and city fans know why,
'Cuz they have seen the glory of....
Holte Enders in the sky
Yippeeeiiiooo, yippeeeiiiaaa
Holte Enders in the sky"
These are the CORRECT words to HEITS, as wrote in 1971 by Keith Bryenton,
we still sit on the Holte together,
As i walked out at Villa Park one dark and dusty day,
I spied a poor blues fan a running far away
I said to this poor city fan it looks like you might die
He said i know `cause i`ve just seen seen Holte Enders in the sky
Yippee eye aye, Yippee eye ohh, Holte Enders in the sky,
now he ran down the terraces and then towards the gate
little did he know death was to be his fate
he had one more short hour to live and then he`d hear the cry
that every city fan does fear , Holte Enders in the sky,
Yippee eye aye, Yippee eye ohh, Holte Enders in the sky,
Thier fists where just like granite and their pockets full of lead,
and when they catch a city fan, you know he`ll end up dead
`cause Villa fans rule birmingham and city fans know why,
the`ve all heard and th`ve all seen Holte Enders in the sky,
Yippee eye aye, Yippee eye ohh, Holte Enders in the sky,
YES YES YES YES!!!!
Thanks for your post, sorry for getting some of the words wrong!!
