Just got in from a family lunch. Score apart, what's the performance been like?

Rubbish start, rubbish end, a decent spell in the middle. Still lacking a killer touch and Weimann and Gabby are frankly rubbish. Can't wait till Benteke gets back. Definitely more solid at the back then last season. But for me the main frustration is that Lambert is STILL making the wrong subs. Leaving Andi and Gabbi on and subbing Richardson for Bent was ridiculous. At least this time he realised something needed changing, he just didn't change the right thing.

I remember someone saying that these new signings wouldn't improve the team, but they seem to have simply because there's less blind panic when we have possession. It helps that our passing and control seems a lot better this season too.

By the way, I know; we're only one and a half games into the season and there's still plenty of time for things to go wrong.

I always thought Hutton was garbage for Spurs and no better for us. Yet in these last two matches he's been brilliant, so something's changed somewhere. Either he's playing to impress or someone's coaches have done him the world of good - and I can't believe it was Bolton's.
