Didn’t get seeing it, how bad were we?

Palace were amazing. Villa not so much. There's talk of Palace selling some of those players for big sums, but if they keep the team together, maybe add to it a little, they could be a real handful next season. I'll be watching out.

Apart from that, as has been said many times, Villa didn't really care. They celebrated the win the other night.

  2. I still don't understand why managers don't have big release clauses like players. People poach great managers and pay £10m in compensation - I'd like to see him with £150m release, something like that.

  3. I think any talk of big money moves in the prem this summer is wide of the mark. So many clubs are up to the limit on FFP with little to maneovre. Add the fact that several of them clubs would like to make a couple of big money sales to sort out their problem, but I can't see who has the money to start the chain of events. Finding buyers is going to be difficult.

Convinced everyone has been told to not carry it into the opposing corners.

Well that's the conclusion I came too, because surely he's following Unai's game plan. But then Leon and Moussa do it on the other side all the time. I guess it's more I'm struggling to understand that part of the game plan, because we really struggle to score past a low block.

  5. Last season his trademark move was the spurt down to the byline and bang in a cross. Since he's come back he's stopped doing it, runs infield every time. Yesterday his old move was what we really needed. So what's going on there?

Compulsory purchase the area between Witton Lane and Yew Tree Road and demolish the lot

Compulsory purchase powers are for public bodies only, and even they have a bunch of hoops to jump through. Absolutely not an option.

Interestingly the planning for the North Stand will only be valid for 2 years - so they'll need to get a move on, and it does allow for the building of Villa Live - just separate from the North Stand.

You only have to start a project to comply with that planning requirement. Digging some footings is the normal way to achieve an official start, then the permission lasts in perpituity. Land and Planning Act innit.

I'll never use those sites for food. I'd rather go and collect.

I do this now. Deliveroo put a delivery charge of £1.50 or something, but that's just a smoke screen, all the food is more expensive than in the store. Our chippy order actually costs double from deliveroo vs going to pick it up. Double.

This is what I came here to see. It's such a good show. Season 2 in January or February.

Looking forward to Fargo season 5 in November too.

Severence S2 was Jan/Feb before the actors and writers strike in Hollywood. Date now unknown.

At the risk of controversy... even as a kid, I thought those were shite.  The premise far outstrips the execution.

Oh, no doubt. We bought an 8 multi pack and failed to find enough parts to make a single complete car. But it's the sport of it....one day it will happen.

  11. Well I think we had a plan, but Wolves came out and played it like a cup game. So Unai responded in kind and put on a cup side in the second half. Well, he has told us he prioritises winning a trophy.

What resulted was a fantastic cup game in the second half and we saw our boys really trying and really caring.

I think Unai did great. Must've been a great night in the Holte.

  12. I'd go with:

    Emily the Criminal

    To Leslie.

Argentina 1985. Made in 2022 but about the trials held against the military junta in 1985 after they were ousted by a civilian government. Rather dialoque heavy to start, but really powerful film overall.

We're not very mainstream with our movie choices.

Submitted meter readings yesterday and all good so far. DD for gas and electric still below £100.

Scottish Power gives you the data over the last 4 years in terms of energy usage and i'm at the lowest usage of that whole period now.

I'm currently submitting mine higher than the true reading, since prices will go a way further up yet.
