I think we were unlucky to not score atleast one or two in the first half. I we did, it would change the whole game. We were the better team until they scored in my opinion. Evertons squad is so much better than ours so while I do understand the dissapointment, I think some people are having unrealistic expectations considering the weak squad we have.

I'll get slaughtered for this, but I'd give Tonev another start, he's trying too hard to impress atm which probably accounted for his poor display on Saturday, there's obviously some talent there, the more he plays, the more he'll relax IMO.

After a scrappy win over Stoke their fans reckon this is their year again

To be fair they looked quite good against Stoke and should have scored a few more goals. I don't think they're any worse than Arsenal at the moment. We should be able to win but it wont be easy.

Okore in for Clark is the only change I'd make.

 

Just as Okore should keep his place, I think it'll be up to players to earn their way into or out of the team. At the moment, no one deserves dropping.

This is how I see it as well. Even though three games against good opposition in seven days is pretty tough, It shouldn't be a problem this early in the season.

How much attendance could we expect for this game? Would be great if we could get 40000+ on the first home game of the season, but I doubt it. Maybe 37-38000 is more realistic?

Extremely pleased with our performance. Ref was shit but that happens to all teams.. Our luck will soon come. Delph MOTM but I think the whole team played great and deserves praise!

He had the second most crosses in european top flight football last season. Lots of crosses to find Dzeko tonight.. I think we didn't see it much in confederations cup because Spain don't play that way.

So for their final sub, they take off Ben Arfa, the only guy who's been even halfway decent for them going forward, and the only one, other than maybe Krul, who looks like he gives a crap about the team or the game. Baffling. I suppose I should be gleeful but this is almost too sad to watch.
