yeah plus pompey have just brought in 3 new players which could keep the pompey fans sweet should taylor leave.had pompey not signed distin,muntari and the bloke from charlton there would be no chance of us signing taylor but now i feel there is a good chance of getting him.

mon was mentioning the way spurs have their squad a lot earlier in the season i think he to wants 2 or 3 players fighting for most positions like they have.we will need it if we want to play in europe and add extra games to our season.say bouma gets hurt barry would have to drop back to left back again,not a huge problem but we need him in midfield.

taylors a very good player besides his spectacular goals,for some reason i watched a lot of pompeys games last season and he gives his all and has a cracking left foot and obviously a knack for scoring goals.

i dont think bellamy has an attitude problem i really dont even carew has lamped risse before and we all know what a great guy the hulk is.I think you have to look at joey barton now he is a real tosser and a trouble maker whereas bellamy is just very very confident and for all the talk about his attitude i dont think it would be a problem as long as he gets along with the manager which he does and no one gives him a putter he is an asset.Although i would not like us to spend more than liverpool paid for him.Im telling you now i will be buzzing if we get taylor i wanted him i just thought it would be impossible to get him away from pompey lets wait and see.edit-**** hell i have just read it and it says we are in talks god i love martin o`neill.

I am probably in the minority here but i would like us to sign bellamy for say 5 million maybe 6 under o`neill playing week in week out he would get us 20 goals a season.He was brilliant at blackburn and would do wonders for us.There are question marks on his attitude but i think alot of that if newspaper hype whereas if you look at the things barton has done he is a genuine bad apple i dont think bellamy is like that.

i wouldnt chose to sign gugjohnson but i wouldnt have any complaints if we did.As for a striker i would like to see a middle build type striker for want of a better phrase some one who is in between carew and gabby,by that i mean a strong player who also has a bit of pace and skill about themselves someone in the kanoute or berbatov mould(not them in paticular) because with gabby,luke and carew we have the two extremes.I read yesterday from ian storey-moore that we are looking for a top striker a goalie and a replacement for ridgewell so it looks like tommy is out then it will be good having a fresh and new number one i would like boruc.

i expect bellamy to be a villa player by the time i set off for wembley next week.As for matty taylor i would love to have him but i highly doubt harry redknapp would let him go unless we offerd him a player aswell.

300 odd pages of nothing speculation add another one talking about bloody maldini,legend great player but why even debate him coming to villa we have the same chance of signing maldini as we have of signing pele.

I thought it was DOL that wanted to get rid of him?I recall him being upset that the club didn't want him anymore.Plus,he's a villa fan.

i dont think he can be considered a flop because he has hardly played this season

he has a lot to learn im sure but no reason why we couldnt get the best out of him

apparently he has hinted that benitez will tell him to jog on

i don`t think you can judge riera by his time at man city.From what i saw of him last night and a few other times he looks to have some quality.If he was to cost us 2-3 million 4 at a stretch i think it would be a good signing.

here we go again just like january people debating,arguing and getting worried about the caliber of player we might or might not sign and in the end everyone will be more or less happy with who we get because at the end of the day martin o`neill knows more about managing and putting a football team together than any of us so just sit back and be positive o`neill came through in jan he will come through again.

I expect us to sign bellamy,boruc,distan and another one or two players from abroad and that will be it we do not need a whole new team.I also think we will will try for milner and swp again whether we will get them i don`t know i would like us to sign curtis davies aswell but i doubt that will happen.

I dont think we need a lot of new players to be a force i really don`t,martin has obviously made room for another new striker when he sold angel so i expect defoe(my choice)doyle,bellamy and we have been linked with marlon king.As for the midfield i don`t think we are crying out for quality there with davis,maloney,berger and ozzy in reserve then theres always mcann to call on and our first choice midfield can be jigged around with in various ways,but similar to the strikers i do expect reo-coker to be a villa player next season and i suspect a renewed bid for shaun wright phillips or milner.For me i would like the most for us to bring in a couple of proper quality defenders and we would be a force to be reckoned with because our downfall this season time and time again has been giving away soft easy goals.

Thats my opinion could be close could be a load of bollocks but either way we are on the up and i am buzzing about it and already have a semi thinking about next season.
