  1. We edged the first half, but small heath were the better side for first 30 mins of the 2nd.

All I can see on texts from bluenoses are "but we woz robbed" hahahaha funny.

A little lucky with the pen but who cares? lol

Carr is word removed for trying to damage the pen spot too - tw@t

  2. I thought I'd join the sometimes silent majority and tell you to keep up the good work General.

I along with many others are proud of having Randy, MON and yourself on board, and like all good relationship General, you have to take the rough with the smooh, and its been pretty rough around this thread lately so have some smooth ;o)

Yes we're all a little frustrated transfer wise, but you've all earned my trust based on what I've seen so far.

Worst comes to the worst Gen, I'll play right back ok ?

  3. I notice the General is online now, I'm sure he'll be proud at some of the posts tonight.

Why? Because we've drifted off (his) message?

People are expressing their opinions, for the most part lucidly. Football is all about opinions.

I'm sure the General doesn't need people protecting him from criticisms and worries.

Hey I feel protective of a guy who has done/said nothing but positive things for this club since he's been on these boards, sorry!

  4. I notice the General is online now, I'm sure he'll be proud at some of the posts tonight.

I'm sure he's big enough to accept criticism of this summers transfer dealings.

I'm sure he is John, its just a shame that such a forward thinking member of our new board should have to read some of the very negative posts on here at times.

  5. General Krulak here:

    1. HEV: good idea. I will push it forward. I would love to have breakfast at the Holte!! I will watch the game at the stadium...just because I want to get a sense of what it is like. You all have had the pleasure...I need to do it.

    2. Brendan, of course I read your post....I look at all of them on this thread. You need to go down to Villa Park and visit the HR department and see what sort of jobs they have available...if any. Recognize that you may not start at the top but the key is to get in the door. Give it a shot.

General if you need any scouts based in the south of spain at a very reasonable rate let me know ;)

  6. Hi General,

I know that there has been a lot of discussion regarding the renaming of the Ellis Stand.

Maybe instead it could be considered to rename the North Stand when its rebuilt to "The Ron Saunders Stand"

Also at the same time maybe move out the away fans from that stand to the bottom of the Ellis stand (IMO it would be better to have Villa fans behind each goal)

Putting extra away support in the Ellis stand has been done for cup games so I'm sure the logistics could be sorted out.

What do you think General ? Also any news on its development ?

    Up The Villa

  7. Quite a close run so far then

"Hate" is a strong word though isnt it, I can understand SHA disliking us more

than we dislike them after all they have a lot to be jealous about, a history of

winning anything, a decent manager who doesnt resemble a potato, a chairman

with some class, a decent ground, decent home support, fans who can string a

sentence together..................need I go on ? whats to hate about them ?

  8. Paul I love the composition on your Illfracombe shot.

    cheers Cat :D

To say I'm a beginner would be an offence to beginners, have some way to go before I get to your standard.

Still hoping to take some good pics with my new SamsungS700, test shots have been good so far, I need to start getting to grips with Macro settings.

Heres another couple took with my old 4MP (Devon):

  9. Maybe that Xavier story the other day has legs :

    http://tinyurl.com/yndjsx

    Xavier contract concern for Boro

    Abel Xavier

Xavier says he is committed to Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough defender Abel Xavier has revealed that a "special clause" in his contract could see him leave the club for free after 14 January.

"I have a special clause that releases me from my contract in 10 days," Xavier told BBC Radio Cleveland.

"For that reason, the club must act fast. The decision is not in my hands, but my total commitment is with Middlesbrough football club."

Xavier, 34, also revealed that several clubs were interested in signing him.
