I think you have answered your own question JPA. Best to put an 'other' category for those that challenge everything thing you say based on your opinion of another topic.

You might wish to add S.Moore, Allback and L. Moore to this list since that are Villa players that are also alternatrives for this position.

I have gone for Vassell, simply becuase he's due for a breakout season. 20+ goals...wishful thinking?

I agree also, I am not so blind that I think our squad size is sufficent, but i also don't believe that backing the manager to buy crap players is a sign of ambition.

We should not be comparing ourselves with small time teams.

With all due respect, many posts lately have compared our signings to Boro and the Scum. If you read my initial post, you will see this in the first line. I agree that we shouldn't be comparing, but people have and I wanted to know what THESE people thought of the transfer activity between these clubs.

Since every post is going on about our lack of summer transfer activity compared to our two biggest rivals (in my opinion anyway), I was wondering who you would rather have acquired.

BTW there is no clear winner in this poll as yet because the leader, Angel only has 37% of the vote, so 63% voted for someone else.

In the interests of fairness we should have a second poll where you have to choose between Angel and Mellberg.

I think some people are getting confused with 20 goals (all comps) and 20 league goals!

The poll refers to league goals only...in which case Angel has 11 so far. I doubt that Angel will score 9 goals against Small Heath next week, MJKANE and it's a stretch to say he will do it in the next 13 games...he'll come close though. 15 and I'll be more than pleased.
