  1. Please dont have a go at me ,just found this on the offical site message board .So dont kill me

Can't say who i am as i work at the club but please stop worrying,

We will have 3 new players in the team for Saurday, this of course is not including Bardsley as he is on loan and cannot play.

Bellamy and Reo Coker are having medicals first thing tomorrow morning and as we speak now the final bits os the SWP deal is being bashed out.

The only problems are the boss wants to sort out a replacement first (bellamy) and Kenyon is apparently in China doing a commercial deal (in the middle of the transfer window - WHY?)

We are also very close to 3 foreign players including a young lad from Marseille who would be our Ronaldo.

You dont have to believe me but you will see i am being 100% truthful.

Exciting times are very very close.

  2. O'Neill targets famous five Wed, Jan 10 2007 12:04

Martin O'Neill would like to sign five quality players during the transfer window but is not sure whether it will happen.

O'Neill has already added Manchester United defender Phil Bardsley to his ranks after the player signed a short-term loan deal, but the Villa boss is hoping to add at least another four players to his ranks.

The Irishman has cash to spend and has revealed he would like to draft in players of the quality of Stilian Petrov who arrived at Villa Park from Celtic in the summer.

O'Neill knows he is up against it though as most Premiership clubs are chasing the same players during what is sure to be a hectic month.

"I've got some great plans but those plans could evaporate by January 20 or 21," O'Neill revealed. "If we could bring in four or five of the Petrov quality - if that was possible - then that's what we'd aim for.

"Whether we're capable of doing that or whether we could, that would be spending a lot. But we'll see where we are."

  3. from itv website -Defoe tops Chelsea hitlist

The Sunday Times believes that Jose Mourinho 'has targeted Jermain Defoe as his principal January transfer window signing, and has offered Shaun Wright-Phillips to Tottenham Hotspur in exchange.'

The paper also claims that Chelsea were offered Darren Bent for £25m by Alan Pardew. 'Though the fantasy pricing drew Mourinho's wrath a representative was instructed to call Charlton to inquire after a more realistic figure. After quoting £18m for the injured 22-year-old, Charlton were told to find another buyer.'

A similar response greeted Aston Villa's offer to sell Milan Baros.

The stumbling block in the Defoe deal could be SWP however. Martin Jol is a big fan of the winger, but 'perhaps aware that there is a significant possibility that the manager will change clubs this summer, Wright-Phillips still believes he has a future at Chelsea and may be more receptive to a loan move.'

'He is also understood to be hopeful that Arsène Wenger might act on his public admiration of the winger, but with Arsenal unwilling to spend in this window that remains extremely unlikely,' the newspaper adds. 'Though a fee of £9.8m has been agreed with West Ham United, Wright- Phillips has refused to put pen to paper at the relegation-threatened side.'

  4. Off the itv website -Villa chase United pair

Martin O'Neill has been linked with Manchester United duo Alan Smith and Phil Bardsley ahead of their double header.

The Villa manager wants to sign Smith on loan for the rest of the season, although Sir Fergie is only willing to let him go for as long as Henrik Larsson is on loan at Old Trafford.

The Daily Mirror also claims that Villa are in talks with right back Phil Bardsley about a permanent transfer. Roy Keane wants to take the youngster to Sunderland, but complained yesterday that, "He's in talks with a Premiership club, so I don't know what will happen there."

But O'Neill admitted: "It will be difficult to bring players in before the first game against United."

We know about Bardsley, as he should be signing tomorrow. This report suggests it will be a permanent transfer . This Smith rumour on a season loan wont go away i have seen it on many sites for the past few weeks now.If Baros does leave Smith would be a good deal as he would be looking to impress but still like to see Bent,Keane or Defoe come in as well . I like the look of Dica as well but fear were just being linked because the money we have to spend

  5. Aston Villa keen on Sevilla striker Kepa

    tribalfooball.com - January 07, 2007

Sevilla striker Blanco Kepa is attracting interest from Aston Villa.

Kepa is considering his future at Sevilla after dropping down coach Juande Ramos' strikers pecking order this season.

AS says both Villa and Fenerbahce have been in contact about Kepa's availability during this month's market.

  6. any chance of Milner must surely be gone if he signs new contract. any one heard of the other guy

Newcastle are in talks with James Milner about a new deal at St James' Park.

Milner has been one of Newcastle's major successes this season after returning from a loan spell at Aston Villa last season.

The talented winger has been linked with a move away from Tyneside to Middlesbrough, but it is believed Newcastle are ready to reward the England international with a contract extension.

Skysports.com says Milner's representatives are locked in talks with Newcastle officials and are hopeful of reaching a successful conclusion soon.

A host of Premiership clubs are chasing Nantes midfielder Emerse Fae.

Reading are keen and see Fae, a combative midfielder, as possible cover for Steve Sidwell who could leave the club in the summer at the end of his contract.

Aston Villa, Manchester City and Middlesbrough have already shown their interest in him.

    Both stories from tribal football
