McGinn and Doug need to step up, but this is far from over

I love this club 3-1, Ollie, Morgan and Leon

Loved his pen even with the slip, should help him grow even further in confidence taking them.

Thought he did reasonably well. Unlucky with the shot saved by Chevalier.

Magnificent finish. How he deliberatedly allowed Smith-Rowe to be close and time the chip. Wow.

Is Duran’s disciplinary record really as bad as everyone keeps saying or is this a bit of a Loco Colombiano stereotype? As I see it he’s very enthusiastic, young, can get overexcited / frustrated. I don’t see the lunatic Balotelli type figure some people keep painting him as.
The interesting thing for me is that a man of Emery's character is persisting with Durán despite what from outside sometimes seems like indiscipline, which I tend to agree with you, it is more overexcitement, and also, trying to find his place in a highly talented squad, is a situation in itself that requires a lot of hard work on the required education of different roles. He already did that with another colombian forward at Sevilla and Villarreal

I’d love him at Villa tbh (probably one for the unpopular opinions thread).
I think he would be a pretty useful signing too. Would give us more options in how to setup against different teams, and with the prospect of regular European campaigns even more so

I have said it before but I am a fan of McTominay. I saw something the other day and Rooney was saying that when McTominay broke into the first team he was a striker but they moved him back to midfield.
I’d stick him up top and **** Rashford off.
That sums them up, he comes through the academy as a striker then they play him in the middle. He keeps scoring important goals as a sub but then gets put back on the bench waiting for some minutes in midfield whilst Rashford couldn’t give 2 shits starts every week.
he'll end up at Newcastle or West Ham rather sooner than later

That was embarrassing from Yanited. Played like a non league team trying to win an FA cup tie.
Love to see it

If Jhon's not careful he'll be back playing in the MLS soon. He's in a position most 20 year olds only dream of. Elite coach, massive club fighting out in the top 4 in the PL, with potentially being a starter 2 - 3 years from now. I've seen his agent's Instagram and I don't like the vibe that I get, which amounts to nothing really but he does strike me as the kind of agent who would fill Jhon's head with the wrong ideas for the stage he's at. We've seen this scenario play out with a LOT of very talented Colombian players and it's just sad
