  1. Ollie's lethality and Emi's nervelessness in terrifying one one ones carried us over the line there. It was a frustrating goal to concede, but Lenglet did have a couple of good clearances otherwise and I'll gratefully take any win we can get with a makeshift defence and horrible luck with injuries tbh. I thought the mentality to grind it out was good after the immense frustration of last week

Good clean tackle by Tim to dispossess Adama in midfield near the end and all

Ref was not super consistent or in control of the game from a disciplinary POV as it went on, and I think both teams had reason to feel aggrieved, but the non-penalty and the tight offside against Moreno were the most significant of them AFAIC

Fulham will perhaps consider themselves unlucky to have not got a point, but it's ultimately karmic justice for their owner's despicable refusal to give a sustained singles push to Powerhouse Hobbs

  2. If the goal line technology had worked we'd have been in the champo screaming blue murder about Kevin Friend disallowing Lansbury's legitimate equaliser against Palace due to a non-existent dive off a tackle that was an obvious penalty anyway; as it is things happily evened out and it's the usual suspects stuck in the void screaming, desperately awaiting the day they can take physical form and harass the living again

I guess with the kind of people whose piss it still boils its probably funnier that they think the Hawkeye mess-up is some enormous cosmic injustice tbh

  3. Voted Bailey for basically pulling up trees like a madman, but feel a bit bad not voting for Pau - it's an entertainment business and I principally want to watch him glide out of defense doing galaxy brain line-breaking passes and weird chest height diagonal through balls that magically dip onto the instep of the receiver

Hoping that Diaby will also be in this conversation at the end of the season!

  4. I think with Doug holding his nerve and the crossbar being kind, we just scraped beating the record for our most ever home wins in a calendar year there? I nearly died.

We were running on fumes a bit, but we also had enough chances fall to Diaby that it could have been one of the early-season home massacres on a different day. Looks like Carlos and Lenglet can play a part but not run the show, and above all else we really need to not have our best central defender deputising at right back. There are obviously things to work on but the points are on the board.

Hopefully the recoveries go well for all the missing players and Digne's issue doesn't drag out.

Strong 90 from Bailey, and two very good assists for Watkins.Diaby scored the trickiest one on his weak foot and then methodically missed every other chance he got trying to curl it in on his left. Would almost have been better for his confidence if the misses had come first but...there's a player in there?

Was the pen soft? Would either of the Sheff Utd ones have been soft if they were given? Idk I don't even care any more

  5. Brave header, happy for him. He's maybe got a claim to a start soon, and have Diaby or Bailey come on as an impact sub as those two seemed to get in each other's way a bit as the match wore on.

Still seems like a bit of a disciplinary liability tho?

Surprised he's only got 3 yellows, thought he'd got a few for timewasting already. Just needs to be sensible in next match to make it impossible to reach 5 by game 19, could definitely do without him being suspended.

Konsa took a couple of his time-wasting yellows off him by pretending he was going to take a free kick and dithering over it
