  1. Weapon - when he first started he was quite good - think he now gets his laughs by putting his team down and his listeners - not funny at all.

Also bumped into him in a pub in London - i accept that he wasnt going to join us for hours and buy us all drinks but couldnt even be bothered to have a 30 second chat - am guessing if it had been Vernon Kay he would have had the decency to say at least hello!

  2. Just got back - am afraid apart from a couple of fights it was pretty boring. If people have paid good money to watch people doing nothing then they are within their rights to boo!

  3. Baseball would be a completely different game without the gloves, as it would be far easier for the offense to get hits.

Think that is the key issue.

  4. First impressions - impressed! Have downloaded a few apps - lightsaber is funny! Anyone got any tips/other cool things to download for it. Found out how to save a picture from the net tonight (just press and hold on it) which i didnt think you would be able to do which is cool.

  5. Thought UFC 87 was very good last night - Brock is awesome - he is going to take some stopping. Thought that Rob Emersons knock out punch after 12 seconds was great too. Thought GSP looked amazing at some points too - Fitch is one tough cooking for lasting 5 rounds!

  6. Not sure where i am sitting! Machida will be good to watch - i am not a big fan of his style - in his last fight against Ortiz i wanted him to get involved in a slug fest - can totally understand why he didnt though! Can appriciate that he is amazingly good at fighting the style that he does.

  7. Just got my tickets - went for ones that were £75 (plus they charge a 10% fee on top!!!) If anyone wants to get theirs today you can buy tickets using the password 'count'

  8. Been confirmed now - 18th Oct at the NIA. Bisping - Leben only fight announced - think a main event is still to be named. Anyone buy tickets for 85? How much were they?

  9. Hi General,

Rather than the normal moan's and groan's that you get I thought I'd make a suggestion of a way we may be able to improve what the club can offer potential new arrivals. We have recently heard Shaun Malonney saying he hasn't settled or found a house and over the years this has been a familiar story, I'm sure you will have heard about JPA's first few months at the club.

I know we have a club 'mum' to help players settle but I was thinking it would be a good idea if the club had a couple of houses in or around areas where the current squad live. These houses could be then loaned to new arrivals for 2/3 months while they settle which would be so much better for them than being in hotels. It would help them settle and I think would help attract young players, foreign players or players with young families.

Anyway, its just a thought. It may be something the club already do but thought it would be nice to put forward a constructive idea for a change. be interested to know your thoughts on this General.

The Villa own a couple of apartments all together round Brindley place - currently Young, Maloney and Carew all live there - I dont think that the club just let them stew there and would help them to find a house - but how difficult can it be? SM - Hi Gaz, where do you live? GB - I live in X. SM - Great I will contact an estate agent there and look at some houses in the area!

  10. Hello General,

Is there anyway that concession tickets are interchangable ? - My 74 year old father has a season ticket - but doesn't always feel like going - at the same time my sons like to go to the odd game - ideally I would like to be able to use my fathers ticket - to take one of my kids - (under 12) ....is the over 65 ticket transferable to an under 12 ?

Yes they are - contact the ticket office - not sure if this is one that you need to ask the general to find out the answer :D
